With such grandeur in its form and appearance, it was inevitable that Montegrappa’s spectacular Chaos Pen, designed by Sylvester Stallone, would have its moment of true glory.

Among the most extreme pens ever fashioned, its cap and barrel festooned with skulls, serpents and a sword, Chaos has found instant appeal with fans of the macabre, heavy metal, Goth imagery and medieval culture. Stallone himself was inspired by his own fascination with chaos, particularly as envisioned by the great artists of the Renaissance.

Thus he offered a Chaos Pen, appropriately, to Gunnar Jensen, the character played by his good friend Dolph Lundgren, in a scene in The Expendables 2. This past Thursday, 30 August, the scene in which the Chaos Pen appears was shown on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, during Jay’s interview with Lundgren.

Montegrappa is delighted to note that its finely-crafted pens are enjoyed by everyone from Nobel Prize-winning authors and world leaders to mercenaries of the silver screen.
