A luxury five-star retreat offering customised service and optimum comfort, visit to experience the exquisite wines of the Languedoc-Roussillon and Chef Damien Cousseau’s cuisine, influenced by flavours of the sea at the 30-cover Restaurant Verchant, or the 70-cover restaurant and bar La Plage, situated by the pool overlooking the vineyards. La Plage is certainly the place to be seen and welcomes a number of DJ’s and bands, with cocktails and Champagne in abundance over the summer season.
The deluxe rooms, junior suites and apartments are all unique and stylishly appointed in contemporary Italian fabrics and furnishings by designer Raymond Morel and feature minibars, espresso machines, Bose sound systems, iPod docks and bathtub balneotherapy.
The decadent new 2000m2 spa boasts eight treatment rooms offering a comprehensive menu of Anne Semonin treatments and Valmont for their expertise in skincare. Other spa facilities include a sauna, Jacuzzi, private hammam and indoor hydrotherapy pool, while outside there are two further pools set among fragrant gardens, a high-tech “super” 400m2 Technogym with a personal trainer, tennis courts and pétanque.
Surrounding the château, the 13-hectare Verchant vineyard cultivates red Syrah and Grenache vines from the Mediterranean, and Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot from Bordeaux to produce three wines: the 1582 red, rosé and white; and two reds, the Marcelle and Quintina.

Meetings and Events – Domaine de Verchant is perfectly situated for any meeting or event, with daylight in abundance and two large function rooms available throughout the year. There are also two lounges for groups of up to 30 people.
Wine Trail – journey the wine trail of the Languedoc-Roussillon region between the Pic St Loup and Montpellier, discover the vineyards, meet the growers, visit the cellars and taste the wines over a delicious gourmet lunch.
Camargue by 2CV – take a photographic safari of the picturesque nearby Petite Camargue in a vintage 2CV, visiting the medieval fortress city of Aigues-Mortes with its excellent restaurants and antique shops, and try to spot the famous white Camargue horses out on the salt lakes.
La Vie Sportive – for the active guest there are numerous golf courses within striking distance, including Golf de Massane and Golf Grande Motte, and sailing and watersports on the coast, 15 minutes away. Thrill seekers can Segway or mountain bike through the pine forests surrounding the hotel or be put through their paces by Domaine de Verchant’s own personal trainer.
