Heddon Street Kitchen - Delightful, Cool And A Restaurant For Every Occasion

Leanne Kelsall embarked on a mission, to discover the best places to eat around Regent Street, for this article she headed to Gordon Ramsay’s Heddon Street Kitchen

There are many culinary delights to be discovered on Regent Street’s Food Quarter, but the most delightful of all, we think, is Heddon Street Kitchen. HSK is cool and clean-cut — not surprising, then, to learn that it’s part of Gordon Ramsay’s enterprise.

An edgy, industrial theme runs throughout Heddon Street Kitchen

An edgy, industrial theme runs throughout the two-floored restaurant and heated terrace – with sleek charcoal walls, exposed piping and neon-lit signs. As we take our seats, the conversation is flowing among groups of friends, first dates, and families – the restaurant is bustling but in no way chaotic.

This is a restaurant for every occasion – brunch with friends, casual after-work cocktails or date night with your partner. And that’s what we loved. Well, one of the many things we loved…

The evening menu has all the airs and graces of a fine-dining restaurant, but with a modern twist. So you can choose to keep it casual with a short rib burger and triple cooked chips, or indulge in something richer like the Scottish Highland venison with garlic gnocchi.

The portions are hearty, perfectly cooked and carefully constructed. The one you HAVE to try? Of course, it would be Ramsay’s famous Beef Wellington. Wow; a flawless beef fillet encased with a soft yet crispy buttery pastry and served with beef cheek mash. Unforgettable.

For those with a sweet tooth, HSK’s ice cream bar is not to be missed. The restaurant’s pastry chef ‘home-makes’ all the delicious and unique ice-cream flavours (carrot cake being one example we tried), as well as the creative dessert menu too.

The dessert bar is scattered with sweet toppings for your ice cream. With enormous jars of chewy, gooey sweet things, popping-candy encrusted cones, sticky waffles and more, there’s a lot there, all for the picking.
