Independent British Shoe Brand Yull Launches Their AW16 Collection

The Autumn/Winter Collection from British shoe brand Yull

We all adore a beautiful pair of finely crafted shoes, particularly in our case if they’ve come courtesy of a talented British designer.

The self-styled chief troublemaker at the company, Sarah Watkinson-Yull founded the brand back in 2010 while still at University in London. With funding from the Prince’s Trust, she set up a manufacturing operation specialising in high heels in the UK.

February 2012 was the next major milestone for Yull when they sold their first pair of shoes and only twelve months later they were exporting to the US and Asia. A quite spectacular rise for an independent British brand matched only by the wonderful shoes they create.

Today, Yull is one of the only independent shoe brands manufacturing high heels in Britain and this is well showcased in their latest collection.

Independent British Shoe Brand Yull Launches Their AW16 Collection 11“When industry experts told us that it wasn’t possible to make high heels in the UK, we never gave up and are proud of our efforts to have made it happen and to change people’s mentalities.”

Now almost five years since the sale of their first pair of shoes, the brand is stocked in boutiques around the globe and they’ve expanded further by opening up a studio in Battersea, London.

For the AW16 collection, Yull takes its inspiration from its British heritage, adorning both new and classic designs with iconic tweed. In a refined herringbone design, it is ideal for both country and city.

New for this season is their Battersea, Chester, Cumbria, Kensington and Mayfair Platform styles. Firsts for the brand are the Cumbria style taking the form of a long boot and the Kensington which is a stylish T-bar shape.

Several classic Yull styles continue to be offered, including the Mayfair, Borough, Beaulieu, Green Park and ever-popular Brighton Brogue. Updated in warm Autumnal tones, they represent the elegance and quality that has become synonymous with the Yull brand. You can read more about these collections below.
