Bristol Harbour Hotel Primed & Ready For October Opening

Meet the new… Bristol Harbour Hotel – leading the way in city luxury

Offering the latest in urban escapes, the Bristol Harbour Hotel fuses two iconic former bank properties to offer contemporary luxurious accommodation with impeccable design and an impressive events space. The hotel will welcome guests from October 2016 to its base in the heart of the city.

This new luxury hotel has a glorious façade and exceptionally restored interiors with an abundance of character and detail for guests to enjoy.

The original architect of the former Lloyds Bank building was Bristolian William Bruce Gingell (1819 – 1899) who took inspiration for the design from the Sansovino’s 16th-century Library of St Mark in the Piazzatta at Venice.

Bristol Harbour Hotel has 42 bedrooms; suites featuring roll tops baths and city views, and there’s a Jetty restaurant with award-winning menus created by Harbour Hotels’ Chef Patron Alex Aitken. To maximise the full use of the available space, the old bank vaults will be transformed into an indulgent Harbour Spa, opening spring 2017.

What is set to become Bristol’s most impressive events space will be found in the former banking hall of the Lloyds Bank building. This grand room hosts a magnificent skylight, with opulent detailed ceiling, providing a spectacular backdrop seating up to 300 guests for a diverse range of occasions; from weddings, award ceremonies and art exhibitions, to corporate functions and Christmas parties. Bookings are now available.

Mike Warren, Managing Director of Harbour Hotels, says: “We are delighted to be introducing our award-winning Harbour Hotels brand to Bristol. These architecturally stunning former banks provide a unique opportunity to create a luxury city centre hotel; bringing back to use old banking halls that have been vacant for years. With a prime position in the heart of this vibrant city, we are excited to not only attract new visitors with our luxury new hotel but provide a Jetty restaurant and Bristol’s most impressive events space.”
