This Chinese New Year celebrates the year of the Rooster and The Shangri-La Hotel, At The Shard, has collaborated with Celebrity Chef Ching He Huang to create a dazzling menu filled with good fortune, longevity, wealth and prosperity.

Food is a huge part of the Chinese New Year festivities and should you be looking to indulge in this majestic cuisine, then you should look no further than the sumptuous offering of Celebrity Chef Ching He Huang.

This year, Shangri-La Hotel, At The Shard, London, has teamed up with the TV chef and author Ching He Huang to create an exclusive Chinese New Year menu for the hotel’s TING lounge, which was launched on Tuesday 24th January to welcome the Year of the Rooster.

The spellbinding menu, which will run for the whole of the Chinese New Year period until Friday 3rd February, has been developed by Ching He Huang in co-operation with resident Executive Chef Gareth Bowen, and offers a selection of ‘Bamboo Baskets and Bowls’ based on traditional, lesser-known Chinese New Year dishes with Ching He Huang’s signature healthy and modern twists.

For those of you who adore Chinese food, you really are in for a treat, as this memorable experience will see servings take place throughout the day in the silky, stylish, Asian-inspired TING lounge on the 35th floor with its incredible panoramic views of London.

Ching He Huang’s Chinese New Year tantalising menu will certainly have your taste buds squawking with delight. A variety of magical dishes will be available including Salt & Pepper Crispy Wild Duck with Mandarin & Kumquat Dip, Crispy Vegetable Smoked Tofu Bean Curd Skin Spring Rolls, Grated Ginger in Black Rice Vinegar, and Moneybag Dumplings of Pork & Prawn with Scallop are just some of the eats which underpin the important role foods plays at Chinese New Year, as they all represent luck and fortune.

Dishes are individually priced between £13 and £18. The selection also includes Broccoli Stem Dan Dan ‘Zha’ Mein with Braised Mushroom & Bamboo Shoots, Salt & Pepper Crispy Wild Duck, Mandarin & Kumquat dip, Grilled Maple Pineapple and Honey Roast Pork Char Sui with Plum, and Picked Shallot & Dandelion ‘Spring’ Flowers.
