Following the success of the debut Aston Martin by Hackett capsule collection, the British brands collaborate for a second collection for Spring/Summer 2017.
Hackett’s long-standing partnership with Aston Martin, one of Britain’s most renowned automobile companies, strengthens and reaches new heights for this season.
The twenty-two piece collection takes inspiration from the new AM37 powerboat developed by Aston Martin and Quintessence Yachts and from the fearless design philosophy of the iconic Aston Martin DB11. The Aston Martin by Hackett collection includes outerwear, knitwear, shirts, polo shirts, trousers and accessories, all of which reflect the quintessentially British and innovative brand values of both Hackett and Aston Martin.
Perfectly capturing the AM37’s lustrous and masculine characteristics in a colour palette of cobalt blue, navy and grey, the collection is the epitome of immaculate style. Stand out pieces include the cobalt nautical parka, Hackett’s update on the traditional sailing jacket; its wind and waterproof qualities make it the perfect attire for driving the powerboat in any weather. The new bonded grey suede blouson is designed in a classic shape for Spring/Summer 2017: its contrast matt collar, water repellent attributes and innovative laser-cut writing on the labels, make it the ultimate piece in luxury outerwear.
Additional outwear pieces include the waterproof and breathable Loro Piana padded field jacket, trimmed in soft suede and available in two colourways – grey and blue. The classic wool water resistant blouson, available in blue and grey, gives a nod to the traditional tropical sailing jackets. A laser-cut textured nylon mac in navy is perfect for those chilly downpours with a lightweight padded liner and precision laser-cut zip pockets. Using an innovative production method of heat-welded seams, involving no stitching or sewing, enhances the mac’s waterproof qualities.
Key knitwear pieces include a cashmere half zipped sweater in navy and grey and an insulating down filled knit and merino wool sweater in navy with soft lambswool knitted sleeves and collar. To complete the capsule collection, pieces include pique and flannel shirts and cotton polo shirts in the sleek colour palette; classic chinos are available in stone or navy and a five pocket chino in white provides the finishing summer touches.
To complement the apparel, accessories includes a range of luggage with the standout piece being the navy Aston Martin launch bag; engineered from a technical bonded cloth its water resistant qualities makes it the ideal companion for a power trip behind the wheel of AM37.
