Major League Baseball is heading to London to host an incredible 4th July bash. The MLB Battlegrounds extravaganza will culminate in an all-star ‘Home Run Derby’ hitting contest on the Main Stage, featuring some of MLB’s biggest hitters and surprise UK sporting stars, battling it out to score the most home runs against the clock. This unique All-American experience with a British twist is not one to miss this summer!
Visitors to Hyde Park can also take part in a world-exclusive immersive VR baseball experience, where they will pick a side – Boston or L.A. – then play to win. The MLB VR Batting Cage will get its first outing the weekend prior to 4th July, at POP Brixton, where MLB Battlegrounds will be hosting an event from 30th June – 1st July.

The Body Coach Joe Wicks Guinness World Records Attempt for Largest HIIT Class
World-renowned fitness star, TV presenter and author Joe Wicks AKA The Body Coach is known for pushing himself to the limit. Now he is setting himself one of the greatest challenges yet, by attempting to break the World Record for the largest high-intensity interval training class (currently standing at 3,687 people!) at Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park’s OPEN HOUSE. Tickets are on sale now, and can be purchased for £5 (including a £1 booking fee) with proceeds going to the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Already on the agenda for a mega midweek in Hyde Park is… outdoor movie nights, tennis screenings live from Wimbledon, street food stalls from all over the world, pop up bars serving draft & craft beer, wine & cocktails, live music and entertainment, flying trapeze circus, the Moretti Gran Tour, Soho Radio live broadcasting, Chickenshed Theatre and much, much more.

The Barclaycard Playground
Welcoming young and old (and everything in-between), rediscover your playful side at the Barclaycard Playground. See the sights from the giant slide, climb to the top, take in the view and be king of the castle all over again, then slide back down to earth (which is a giant ball pit, obviously). Fly through the air on the bungee trampolines, play hide and seek in the giant room of balloons, and when you’ve worked up an appetite, Pizza Express will be there to give you a boost. Rest tired feet on a see-saw seat and when you’re all played-out, catch your breath on the swings & roundabout.
Outdoor Cinema
Following the huge demand for the open-air film nights over the past two years, Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park is hosting four evenings of frivolous film fun on one of the biggest outdoor screens in London. Two films will be shown each evening at 6pm and 8.30pm.
Tennis Screenings
Want to watch the tennis outdoors this summer without tickets to the world’s most famous tennis tournament? Watch FREE Wimbledon Championship screenings from 12pm onwards during Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park’s OPEN HOUSE.
