HANUXE unveils its first luxury exotic leather handbag collection using the finest alligator, ostrich and Rex furs

The coveted handbag brand is the brainchild of Hanan Aljabr, an exciting young talent from Saudi Arabia. As founder and creative director of HANUXE, she is one of a small clutch of emerging Saudi female creatives and entrepreneurs, who are single-handedly forging a name for themselves on the international fashion circuit.
An intrepid traveller, Hanan spent her childhood in the United States and later returned to her birthplace in The Middle East. In Italy, she first discovered fashion and luxury. A magical holiday to Venice when she was 11, culminated in her first handbag purchase and ignited a passion for the country and its handbags. “It was love at first sight,” enthuses Hanan. “There is no country so diverse and beautiful from North to South, East to West.” Now, as a fully-fledged handbag designer, she has been drawn back to, and inspired by, a country known for its effortless style and celebrated leather goods houses.
Hanan has chosen the most highly-skilled Italian artisans to lovingly create the first HANUXE collection, which consists of three effortlessly chic handbags; a tote bag, an envelope clutch and a cross-body bag. A sophisticated colour palette, ranging from ebony and cocoa to amber and Pacific blue, combined with the use of exotic leathers and fur, makes this trio of debut pieces wonderfully unique.
Each hide is ethically and sustainably sourced and chosen according to the highest grade and texture. It is then dyed in rich earthy tones and cool celestial hues, reminiscent of magical Arabian landscapes and inky night skies. To complete the look, an artisanal polishing technique consisting of heat and agate stone is used to achieve a ‘bombe finish’ and ensure a brilliant high-gloss surface. The supreme quality of the leather becomes even more beautiful over time.
