High Tech with Soul: Loewe Introduces the bild 5 OLED

The latest stunning design has been crafted, once again, by Loewe’s creative director Bodo Sperlein. With bild 5 OLED Loewe continues to breathe new life into the world of the television with a strikingly aesthetic style inspired by retro Sixties décor.

The bild 5 OLED is a truly unique TV; a harmonious blend of old and new, Bodo Sperlein’s latest creation draws inspiration from the confident angular, geometric style of the 1960s and the very latest state-of-the-art OLED technology. The bild 5’s sensual mix of high-tech and natural materials produces an exceptionally desirable television which radiates a warm homely feeling and exudes luxury.

The TV is available in two finishes – natural Silver Oak and high gloss Piano Black. Each finish has been carefully considered to complement Loewe’s futuristic, state-of-the-art slim screen. At an impressive 4.9mm thick, the display is slimmer than most smartphones, making the TV appear almost weightless.

Commenting on the design, Bodo Sperlein states: “We are one of the first television manufacturers who have started using natural materials again such as wood, and in turn transformed the television set into an object. A piece of furniture that radiates a ‘welcome home’ feeling. The bild 5 OLED is warm minimalism, high-tech with soul and a touch of cosiness.”

At the heart of the bild 5 lies state-of-the-art technology, Loewe’s remarkable acoustic expertise and a uniquely modular design. Bild 5 employs the very latest OLED technology; in contrast to LCDs, these screens do not require back-lighting, so when a pixel is switched off the screen displays a pure absolute black. Content is transformed with new levels of detail in both dark and bright scenes together with more dazzling colours. Add High Dynamic Range (HDR) and Dolby Visionä for even higher contrast and a much wider range of colours for pictures that are more brilliant and more natural than ever before.

The ingeniously modular design allows customers the flexibility to mix and match components to create their own individual configuration. The minimalist display is finished with a stunning décor line in Silver Oak or Piano Black, a beautifully subtle detail imparting unique character to the bild 5 OLED. Class-leading sound can be enjoyed via the optional bespoke 80-watt soundbar, again, in co-ordinating Silver Oak and Piano Black. There’s a wide selection of stand options too, from the signature tripod floor stand available in natural Silver Oak or stained Black Oak, aluminium floor and table stands with manual rotation and both fixed and articulated wall mounts.

For a truly immersive sound experience, the bild 5 OLED can be paired with Loewe’s klang 1 or wireless klang 5 audio systems. Boasting up to an amazingly powerful and beautifully precise 270 watts of music output for an incredible audio experience. Thanks to the bild 5’s built-in 5.1 multi-channel decoder and digital audio link, adding speakers or a subwoofer is refreshingly simple and clutter free, all controlled with the TV remote control for true one button operation.

The bild 5 OLED is available in two sizes, 55” and 65” with a choice of two finishes, natural Silver Oak and high gloss Piano Black, with optional sound bar and choice of either a wall-mounted, table-mounted or floor standing options.
