In celebration of festival season, K West Hotel & Spa in Shepherd’s Bush has launched a brand new Festival Glam Rock Afternoon Tea.
Guests can swap traditional hot drinks for tea-infused cocktails from 2pm until 6pm, and even enjoy the treat late at night like a true rockstar from 10pm until midnight Sunday to Thursday. Who doesn’t love cocktails and cake at midnight?
Running until 31 August 2017, the Festival Afternoon Tea is priced at £28.50 and served in Studio Bar & Kitchen; as well as in The Library which has undergone a summer makeover and been transformed into the ‘Festival Hub’. Whether you’re a Bestival-Boy or Glasto-Girl, the Festival Hub will get you prepped for summer: think deck-chairs, bean bags, grass carpet and flamingos!
The Festival Afternoon Tea pays tribute to the hotel’s music heritage in a playful, fun and stylish way. The tea is served on vintage record covers, with electric blue and pink teapots and teacups, adding some glam to the rock.
All of the Festival Glam Rock Teas will include enticing mini-clubs and rainbow brioche sliders, fresh blueberry ‘rolling scones’ with clotted cream & homemade jams, as well as a selection of delectable minted strawberry and watermelon mini-slushies; a selection of macaroons; sorbet cones; and white chocolate mini cheesecake bowls.
A Prosecco Festival Afternoon Tea is also available for £36, and the Rock ‘n’ Cocktails Festival Midnight Tea is priced at £40.50. This cocktail tea will include a selection of five shots of cocktails, or one cocktail each. All tipples will be made using different flavours of fruit tea. New summer cocktails include ‘Hula Kula’ with Smirnoff vodka infused with Beautiful Skin Tea, Malibu, MB Banana Liqueur and Pineapple Juice; or ‘Cheery Harmony’ with Absolut Mandarin Vodka, Beautiful Skin Tea, Aperol, Lime Juice, Peach Purée and Prosecco.
Formerly the BBC Building Kensington House in the 70s and 80s, an endless list of Rock ‘n’ Roll royalty has stayed, played and misbehaved at K West – Bob Marley and the Wailers, Bowie, The Kinks and Roxy Music to name a few.
