Princess Yachts and Bentley Motors reveal a limited edition by Mulliner at the 40th Anniversary of Cannes Yachting Festival

At this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival (12 to 17 September) Bentley Motors and Princess Yachts reveal their latest exciting collaboration. The limited edition Continental GT Convertible Galene Edition is exquisitely designed by Mulliner and inspired by the refined craftsmanship of Princess’s award-winning superyachts. Only 30 of these 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 convertibles will be produced.

The most sought-after luxury car brand in the world was a natural partnership for Princess, since both iconic brands share a philosophy of blending luxury and performance. Mulliner, Bentley’s bespoke commissioning division has created the ultimate edition of this unique world-class Bentley Continental GT Convertible.

Named The Galen – after the Greek goddess of calm seas – the GT convertible features a Glacier White exterior with an eye-catching flash of Sequin Blue on the lower brightware.

The design emulates the sleek lines of a Princess superyacht hull cutting through the reflected water line. Darkened front and rear lamps on the GT Convertible echo the tinted windows on Princess yachts, while a dark blue hood completes the bold, distinctive look.

The nautical theme continues inside this stunning Bentley Continental GT3. Pinstriped walnut veneer is a feature of the central console, inspired by the teak decking on every Princess yacht. And for the ultimate in customisation, a bespoke illustration from world-renowned artist Jaume Vilardell featuring a Princess yacht and the co-ordinates of the yacht builder’s Plymouth HQ can be included on the interior fascia panels.

As you’d expect, quality hand-stitched seats and door panels accentuate the console and create a light-filled space that’s luxurious to the eye and touch.

Kiran Jay Haslam, Marketing Director of Princess Yachts said: “Princess is delighted to be working with Bentley on this unique project. There is an incredible synergy between our two brands. From the exceptional customer experience, Bentley provides, to the craftsmanship and uncompromising approach to detail found on every Princess yacht.

“It is a fitting opportunity for two British brands that both combine luxury and performance to collaborate, and some of the special features on this Bentley Continental GT are breathtaking.”

The design collaboration for the Continental GT Convertible comes after Princess and Bentley Motorsport announced a three-year sponsorship deal earlier this year. The partnership will see Princess branding on the livery of the 2017 Continental GT3 as it participates in races around the globe. And includes ongoing joint activities that bring the refined worlds of luxury yachts and motor racing together in exceptional experiences for Princess and Bentley customers.
