About Martin Kemp

Kemp’s background was a design degree at the Welsh School of Art & Design in Cardiff. Followed by a further year at the L’Ecole des Beaux Art Decoratif in Strasbourg. His career began in London at Virgile & Stone and at Rodney Fitch among many other design studios, before the bright lights of LA beckoned.

Such is Kemp’s talent he was recruited by renowned international designer Barbara Barry. Where he became known for his luxury residential designs, creating homes for celebrity clients and high net worth individuals throughout North America and Canada.

The role of Creative Director at Candy & Candy brought Martin back to London. Where he was instrumental in developing the core brand design values that are now synonymous with the Candy & Candy name.

Private jets and superyacht design briefs followed. As well as luxury homes such as La Belle Epoque and landmark developments such as Chesham Place and One Hyde Park.

Completed projects

Since launching Martin Kemp Design in March 2012, MKD has completed prestigious projects in Mayfair, Chelsea, Monaco and Gstaad. The studio is currently working on a range of luxurious projects. These include the interiors for Grade 1* Listed Georgian Townhouse in Mayfair. A boutique residential development in Mayfair comprising seven apartments. And a landmark residential development in Mayfair comprising 34 high-end apartments with two penthouses, along with the entrance lobbies, bar, lounge, cinema, conference facilities, spa, pool and gym.

Current projects

Current international MKD projects include two private jets, two super-yachts, a 54-apartment development in Mumbai. And a private apartment in the One57 building overlooking Central Park in New York along with a magnificent private polo estate in St Tropez.
