1800® Tequila has released three limited-edition bottles designed by renowned British rapper, musician, poet and multimedia artist, Kojey Radical, in its first Essential Artist UK series.

A graduate of the London College of Fashion, Kojey’s creative talents span across mixed media illustration, spoken word and music and is known for incorporating personal storytelling into his work. The three bottle designs entitled; ‘Sugar’, ‘Where do I Begin?’ and ‘Pearly’ are an expression of self-identity and his relationship to music. Kojey explains the inspiration behind each of the designs as follows:

Sugar tells of the first moment Kojey Radical stepped into the gaze of the public eye. The emotions it stirred, the sensations it provoked and the focus it gave him as an artist.

Where Do I Begin? is a self-portrait by Kojey Radical that treads through the darkness of his dreams to find the glowing light of his inner strength.

Pearly encapsulates his relationship with music and its therapeutic, self-expressive power… “when I felt lost or disconnected from the world around me, I would dance”.

To launch the collaboration with Kojey, 1800 Tequila hosted an exclusive event as part of their summer residency at Dalston Roof Park, where Kojey showcased his bottle designs and music to fans.

1800 Tequila’s rooftop residency at Dalston Roof Park will run from 19th July – 1st September, making it the ultimate summer hangout. During this time, the rooftop garden and bar will be serving 1800 Tequila cocktails and a pop-up shop will sell the limited edition Kojey x 1800 Essential Artists UK bottles, Kojey designed T-shirts and embroidered patches on Saturdays and Sundays.
