In addition to the hotel receiving Four-Stars, both The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Lake Tahoe and on-property restaurant Manzanita, created by James Beard Award-winning Chef Traci Des Jardins were recognised with Four-Star Awards. This is the first time a resort, restaurant, and spa have received Forbes Four-Star Awards, both individually and combined in one location in the long history of the Lake Tahoe destination.

The exclusive property, located just four hours from San Francisco, and which also claimed the AAA Five Diamond designation, the travel authority’s highest rating for hotels and restaurants, in 2011, features 16 treatment areas, 153 450 square feet Deluxe bedrooms, as well as 16 Executive Suites, and offers clients accommodation with in-room fireplaces, floor-to-ceiling windows, and private walk-out balconies with extraordinary views of the mountains and Martis Valley.
