The Coral Room Afternoon Tea

The Coral Room Afternoon Tea, £40 pp

The Coral Room couldn’t be more summery if it tried, what with its vivid orange walls, and a vast array of plants and colourful artworks. A new edition five-star hotel The Bloomsbury, this stylish hideaway is not only great for glam cocktails but for a spot of tea, too.

Their afternoon tea offers posh finger sandwiches, fluffy scones and delicate cakes and pastries – all refillable. Flavour-wise, think classic British with a twist. There’s smoked salmon and crème Fraiche sandwiches on moreish Guinness bread, and creamy deviled eggs in milk buns. The scones come in two flavours; vanilla and golden raisin.

The cakes are a mix of taste bud-tingling combos, like mango and coriander tart and pink peppercorn meringue.

Sparkling wine at the Coral Room.

Sparkling wine is a speciality at The Coral Room, so if fizz is your thing, we’d definitely recommend adding a glass for an extra £8.
