A peaceful night’s sleep at Hullett House in Hong Kong

Hullett House Partners With Vispring to Present a “Royale Getaway” Experience

Who wouldn’t want some peace, quiet and luxury? Let’s be honest, we all do. For those living in Hong Kong, one of those three is quite easy to come by but to get all three, now that is a tough ask!

Hong Kong is in my opinion what can best be described as a dramatic assault on the senses – noise, movement colour, smells. Nothing that can be summised as peaceful and tranquil, so thank goodness for Hullett House, Hong Kong’s iconic heritage hotel, they’ve partnered up with world-class British bed maker Vispring, to present “Royale Getaway”, a sanctuary package for those seeking an escape from life’s distractions and live like royalty in unrivalled elegance and extravagance.

Now like most anything in life, nothing is guaranteed but this travel package will hopefully provide people with the opportunity to experience the vibrancy of Hong Kong coupled with some well earned luxurious relaxation, peace and quiet. Guests can indulge in a one-night’s stay in Hullett House’s signature romantic Silvermine Suite in the comfort of Vispring’s Regal Superbmattress. Warmly nicknamed Hullett House’s “Honeymoon Room”, Silvemine Suite is decorated with white-on-white ornately carved wood and furnishings to evoke a Chateau experience. It also encompasses an all-white bathroom with a stand-alone claw foot bathtub beneath a crystal chandelier. Used on luxury cruise liners such as Titanic and Queen Mary dating back in 1914, Vispring mattresses were awarded the esteemed Queen’s Award for Excellence by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and enjoyed a loyal following from Hollywood celebrity. The Regal Superb mattress, meticulously constructed by skilled craftsmen, blends fine horsehair with British fleece wool delivering an exquisite balance of softness and support.

Upon arrival, guests are greeted with a bottle of nicely-chilled Perrier-Jouët champagne and a deluxe welcome fruit platter. To further enhance the Royal experience of their stay, a luxurious four-seater Bentley with chauffeur service will be at guests’ beck and call.

As night falls, guests can savour an exclusive five-course “Royal Dining” candlelit dinner at St. George beneath grandiose crystal chandeliers or on the private balcony. On the menu are sumptuous creations by Chef Mark Sin such as the refreshing French seasonal Asparagus and Heritage Tomato Salad, both reminiscent of a picturesque garden. Poached with butter, the Blue Lobster is served by crystal clear conpoy supreme soup sphere and jellylike aspic. Equally tantalising are the steamed Wild Turbot and ”dulce de leche” flavoured Chocolate sponge cake, which delivers superb complexity with every mouthful.

Before retiring at night, guests can pamper themselves with Vispring’s sleep-inspired goodies such as sleeping mask and chocolate nightcap complete with “How to sleep well” booklet. Priced at HK$13,880 (plus 10% service charge) per night, the package also comes with a daily Imperial breakfast, complimentary use of in-room minibar, a private heritage tour of 1881 Heritage and Hullett House building, late check-out till 1400hrs and a name-engraved souvenir key to remember the moments captured. Booking and staying period available from now until 31 December 2014.

Sounds Good doesn’t it? We’ve not sampled it ourselves but if you decide to do so, we’d be interested to hear if the Hullett House Royale Geteaway experience provides all that it promises.
