Former Royal Residence Ashridge House Introduces Festive Dining Experience

For the first time, Ashridge House, a former residence of King Henry VIII and Princess Elizabeth I has transformed its private gardens into a magical woodland walk and just in time for Christmas.

Ashridge House has unveiled a new experience called The Enchanted Garden Globes which consists of a bespoke dining experience and magical, illuminated woodland walk in the heart of Hertfordshire. It sounds like the perfect festive antidote to end what has been a challenging 2020.

The Enchanted Globes experience takes place on the dates listed at the end of this article. During this time, the private gardens of the magnificent former palace will be transformed into a magical festive dining experience to surprise and delight the senses.

The Enchanted Garden Globes are created for parties of six and have been built bespoke with extraordinary views across the park at Ashridge House. They will be heated and dressed for a truly unique and snug festive experience.

Guests will also be invited into the winter mist to enjoy a bespoke illuminated woodland walk with beautiful light installations, secret hideaways, tunnels of falling stars, hot toddies, glittering grottos and surprise encounters along the way.

From the magnificent vaulted entrance of twinkling Christmas trees to the spectacular Harry Potter staircase and the spellbinding yuletide outdoor wonderland, The Enchanted Garden Globes is a magical dining experience like no other. After a challenging 2020, the dining experience will offer guests the perfect woodland escape, bringing some much needed Christmas magic and joy to proceedings.

Once a royal residence to King Henry VIII and home to his daughter, Princess Elizabeth I, Ashridge House is a hidden gem in leafy Hertfordshire, only 30 miles from London and surrounded by 190 acres of quintessentially English gardens. With grand, turreted façades and historical grounds, Ashridge House is a perfect backdrop for a dining experience like no other.

Ashridge house recently hosted Ronnie Wood at Ashridge House which displayed a collection of original artworks including some of Ronnie Wood’s most treasured paintings, a series of sculptures and a selection of etchings within the extraordinary interiors of Ashridge House.
