Renowned fine jewellery brand Boodles unveils a new suite of high jewellery created using the finest untreated Columbian Emeralds and from the Muzo Mines.
The British family-owned jeweller has produced exquisite jewellery in-house for over 200 years, showcasing their stunning creations from the Boodles flagship showroom in the heart of London’s Bond Street alongside shops in Sloane Street, Harrods, The Savoy and other prestigeous locations. Their latest collection, Greenfire, consisiting of a Necklace, Ring, Pendant and Earrings, continues their reputation for creating the finest jewellery. With deep green stones, so intense in colour that they appear to be burning from within, this Greenfire suite evokes a sense of mystical enchantment whilst also referencing the natural world.
Jody Wainwright, director of Boodles, says ‘we were looking for a pink diamond but we spotted these emeralds; they looked as if they had been plugged into the mains.’
During the creative process, Boodles head of design Rebecca Hawkins was particularly inspired by the effect of sunbeams as they shine through forest trees, the reflection of which is captured through scattered brilliant cut diamonds resting amongst vine like encasings. Earth and fire become one as the glowing emeralds rest, nestled within flame like petal motifs. The design is based on the organic shapes of entwined foliage, shaped with a stylised rhythm of curves and offset by an asymmetrical composition. This important suite of high jewellery represents Boodles’ continued endeavour to source the world’s finest precious stones whilst highlighting an emphasis on exquisite design and craftsmanship.
