Brasserie Constance, created by chef Adam Byatt, will open its doors on July 15, 2025, offering brasserie dining inspired by the familiar flavours of British kitchens and homes. Bookings are now open.
Nestled on the banks of the Thames on the first floor of Fulham Pier, the newly opened riverside development, Brasserie Constance, is a relaxed and welcoming space, offering stunning, panoramic views of the Thames. It’s a place to settle in and enjoy food that feels both considered and comforting. The menu is rooted in simple, British seasonal ingredients, treated with care and prepared with quiet confidence.
Guests can ease into their visit with a selection of miniature classic cocktails: a Martini, a Negroni, and a traditional G&T, served alongside flavourful bites such as smoked haddock croquettes, English pea and mint tartlets, and steak & ale skewers.
The menu offers a selection of thoughtful dishes, inviting guests on a journey of exploration, beginning with starters such as potted duck with rosehip jelly, London smoked salmon served from the trolley, and a plate of braised leeks with vinaigrette.
For those gathering with others, generous sharing dishes bring a sense of home. Think Clay Pot Chicken, Barley & Beer, or a Crusted Rack of Lamb. A daily changing selection of comfort-led specials will include the likes of Pie and Mash or Toad in the Hole, well-made plates that invite you back.
Desserts bring about an air of nostalgia with a towering yet light baked Alaska (served tableside), a trifle of the day, or English strawberries and cream.
Other highlights at Brasserie Constance include delicate salads, such as raw beef with tomato and rye croutons, as well as a selection of omelettes featuring Cromer crab and chive, or the Omelette Soufflé with girolles. Shellfish is celebrated too, with Cooley Gold Oysters’ Rockefeller’ and scallops from Orkney.
Flo, the accompanying riverside cocktail bar, will offer a gentler pace, a place to sip and graze with a short menu of small plates and a well-curated wine list, developed by Adam’s Son, Jack Byatt, Sommelier at Trinity in Clapham.
Brasserie Constance takes inspiration from its namesake, Constance Spry, the trailblazing florist and chef who once worked just around the corner with Fulham Pottery.
Her spirit is felt throughout the restaurant, from dishes such as Coronation Chicken Pate en Croute, inspired by her involvement in the creation of the original Coronation Chicken, to the understated elegance of its interiors.
The Brasserie’s handmade ceramics and soft, tactile design, created by Lazaro Rosa-Violán, serve as a tribute to the Thames, regional craft traditions, and Spry’s pioneering style.
At the heart of the space is a special collaboration with five female ceramicists, each invited to create bespoke, everyday objects that quietly elevate the act of dining: oyster shell glazed soup bowls, hand-formed sharing platters, and Spry-inspired vases.
Brasserie Constance is helmed by Head Chef Charlie Crote, who works side-by-side with Adam. Beginning his culinary career under the tutelage of John Williams at the Ritz, Charlie went on to work with Patrick Powell, supporting the opening of Allegra in Stratford, and latterly, its sister restaurant, The Midland Grand Dining Room, back in the capital.
Brasserie Constance joins Adam’s portfolio of London restaurants, which includes the Michelin-starred Trinity, Bistro Union, and Charlie’s at Brown’s Hotel. In addition, Adam is also the Co-Owner of Wildflowers, located in Belgravia.
Fulham Pier is now open, offering a diverse array of cultural programming and events that make it a daily hub and South West London’s newest must-visit destination.
Guests are welcome to come for lunch and stay for the day, enjoying a range of activities including art exhibitions, live music, health and wellbeing talks and classes, as well as children’s activities and a variety of food and drink offerings in the Riverside Market.
