Covent Garden’s Cache Cache is One Secret that Needs to be Shared

Covent Garden's Cache Cache is One Secret that Needs to be Revealed

There are some secret’s you should never reveal, and there are others that should be shared. One that no longer needs to be kept is Cache Cache in London’s Covent Garden, which until now has been one of the capital’s best secrets.

Ever since modern-day, devilishly decadent speakeasy Cache Cache opened its doors underneath Covent Garden’s iconic piazza, it has been a must-visit for London’s cognoscenti. Now under the helm of the brilliant Enrico Lozza (Hakkasan group, Princi), Cache Cache, which means ‘hide and seek’ in French, is fast becoming a destination restaurant too, having been designed to sate the appetite of even the most demanding epicurean.

Using the skills he mastered as Head Chef at contemporary Thai favourite Busaba Eathai, Enrico has created an excellent menu bursting with Asian textures and flavours. All the dishes are standouts, but particular highlights are the crispy rice hamachi nigiri with truffle caviar & a splash of ponzu, the white truffle yuzu spinach salad with aged Parmigiano & dry miso sprinkles and the crispy wagyu beef gyoza with soy, sesame oil, ginger & chilli dressing.

Earlier, we used the word secret; please allow us to explain why. It is entirely clandestine and unrecognisable from the outside, and it is accessed via a series of doors and mirrors. Inside Cache Cache, you’ll be greeted by a beautiful interior hiding a secretly seductive space where just 60 people can enjoy dinner before partying with other like-minded guests.

As the night progresses, so the atmosphere segues into something more highly charged, with a hypnotic playlist curated by Cache Cache’s full-time music director, accompanied by a bongo player.

Further adding to this intoxicating vibe is a wicked cocktail collection spearheaded by the likes of Princess Cache (Highlands gin infused with butterfly tea, Velvet Falernum liqueur, pineapple juice & lemon juice) and Coca Leaf Negroni (Roku gin, Campari, Cocchi Americano & coca leaf liqueur).

All of this is played out against a stunning backdrop of exposed brick walls, copper pipework and funky lighting.

Guests can choose to eat, drink and socialise in one of three distinct spaces where luxe private booths, velvet and leather armchairs and bijoux tables further heighten the feeling of intimacy and secrecy.

An ultra-exclusive hideaway for thrilling entertainment, Cache Cache celebrates everything. No reason is required.

Reservations need to be made through Cache Cache’s VIP host on WhatsApp: +44 7555 031010. For more information, please visit www.cachecacheclub.com.
