Be transported to the tropics at one of the year’s best summer pop-ups, Casa De Cuba, at the Churchill Bar and Terrace.

Don’t miss out on one of 2019’s best summer pop-ups – The Churchill Bar’s Casa de Cuba.

This vibrant Cuban-inspired hideaway serves up specially-designed cocktails and tasty exotic eats that are bursting with unique flavours.

It’s a tropical paradise in the heart of Marylebone, belonging to The Churchill at the Hyatt Regency – a glamorous Art Deco bar designed in homage of (you guessed it) Sir Winston Churchill and his wife Clementine.

The curated cocktail list is the main attraction at Casa, showcasing the bar’s commitment to using homemade spirits and syrups.

Predicted to be the next big thing in the spirit category, rum features throughout the menu while all tipples take inspiration from Churchill’s time spent in the Cuban military, in keeping with the bar’s overarching theme.

The ‘Baptism of Fire’ blends Zacapa 23-year-old rum with a banana and chilli shrub, guava and lime juice, port, cedar essence and angostura bitters. Elsewhere, the ‘Miel de Mango’ takes inspiration from the historical association of the mango with the folklore of Cuba, combining Talisker 10 with bee pollen, Tio Pepe, lime and pineapple juice, Noilly Prat, and earl grey tea.

The much-loved Cuban classics feature too – the ‘Mojito de Sandia’ uses freshly squeezed watermelon with a glittering rim of sugar and fresh mint. Everyones’ favourite ‘Daiquiri’, takes guests through a journey of one of the biggest cocktails to emerge from Cuba, offering a mouthful of heaven on every sip.

Head Bartender Daniele Bresciani commented: “Each cocktail on the menu celebrates the vibrancy and colour of Cuba, telling its own story. We can’t wait for our customers to be transported there through this fun and exciting menu.”

The foodie menu doesn’t disappoint, offering bar nibbles and posh sandwiches, to oysters and caviar, and everything in between. Cuban-inspired highlights include Huevos Habaneros, the classic Cubanito sandwich, and breaded calamari with arguably the world’s best mayo – rum and lime flavoured.
