Independent hotel group, Chatrium Hospitality, is poised to enter the hotel sector’s highest echelon on 28 November 2022 with the unveiling of Chatrium Grand Bangkok, an exquisite execution of Thai-inspired hospitality.

Located in the heart of the city’s prestigious Siam area, the hotel is an enhanced version of Chatrium Hospitality’s luxury collection, blends a contemporary interpretation of Thailand’s artistic and cultural heritage with an elegant and intuitive service acumen. City Realty owns the development, the real estate arm of the Sophonpanich family, which has invested THB 5.5 billion (approx. USD 150 million).

Chatrium Grand Bangkok offers convenient access to Siam Paragon, the popular lifestyle mall surrounded by retail attractions and perched on the banks of the city’s most famous canal, Klong Saen Saep, and is moments from Siam BTS Skytrain station. According to Chatrium, the 582-room and suite twin-tower hotel and residences will be an urban retreat like no other, true to the brand promise of “Feel the Remarkable”.

The property was brought to life by the creative minds of Robert Philip Holmes, the acclaimed architect, and DWP, the locally headquartered global design studio, aligning Chatrium Hospitality’s timeless Thai heritage with the highest standards of elite hospitality.

“We are immensely proud to present Chatrium Grand Bangkok as part of our newly enhanced luxury collection,” said Savitri Ramyarupa, Managing Director of Chatrium Hospitality. “We feel the time is right to enter the highest tier of the hospitality space, and this is our first humble foray into it, totally rebuilt on the former site of the residential apartment we owned and managed many decades ago.

The market has returned quickly for Thailand, quicker than many expected. This project has been in the pipeline for many years, and we have endeavoured to honour Thai heritage through the skills of many highly talented local craftspeople to offer a fresh interpretation of Thai art, culture and aesthetics.”

Accommodation comprises spacious rooms starting at 46 sqm and rising to a spectacular 321 sqm penthouse; all adorned with elegant interiors, panoramic windows with stunning city views, cutting-edge technology and marble bathrooms with oversized, free-standing baths. A selection of breath-taking one-, two- and three-bedroom residences will also create a home-away-from-home experience for guests on extended stays in the Thai capital.

Gastronomy is a cosmopolitan affair at Chatrium Grand Bangkok. Diners can savour authentic Thai and international flavours at Savio, with its show kitchens, vaulted ceilings and glittering glass architecture, or embark on a refined culinary journey at Casia, the signature French Mediterranean restaurant which also features a connoisseur-curated wine list.

Alternatively, Flow is a laid-back poolside lounge, the Lobby Lounge promises the perfect place to relax with coffee, tea or light refreshments at any time of day, and the Club Lounge is a chic space for guests staying in the premium rooms and suites to unwind at any time with complimentary refreshments and exclusive services.

Business professionals and meeting planners can take advantage of function spaces capable of hosting events of all styles and sizes, from eight to 1,000 attendees. The 500 sqm, 10m-high, naturally-lit and pillar-free Grand Ballroom sets the stage for the grandest of gala gatherings, from corporate conferences to one-of-a-kind weddings and more, with an impressive LED wall. A dedicated team of experts is on hand to bring every event to life.

When guests are not at work, in meetings or soaking up the sights of Bangkok, they can unwind in this urban sanctuary’s magnificent 40-metre swimming pool, work out in the well-equipped fitness centre or enjoy professional pampering at the SPA by THANN with innovative salt therapy and oxygen treatment rooms. Youngsters will be kept fully entertained at the kids’ club.
