When you hear the name Chiquito, Mexican food will be the first thing that comes to mind for most people. However, that could change somewhat in January as the renowned restaurant chain is stepping foot onto the catwalk with its first-ever fashion accessory, ‘The Chiquito’ handbag.
There have been surprising changes around the world over the past twelve or so months, but one that nobody would have seen coming is the Mexican Restaurant brand Chiquito, moving into the world of fashion. Before you start shouting ‘What!’ at your screens, their move into fashion with the ‘The Chiquito’ handbag has been created to celebrate Veganuary.
The handbag takes its inspiration from one of the world’s most talked-about fashion accessories of 2021 and gives it a beautiful vegan makeover. It is a small top-handled bag made from vegan leather, which can be held or worn over the shoulder, and comes in a vivid bicolour design of the brand’s famed blue and yellow.

Just 100 limited edition bags will be available, and the nation can bid on them in an online silent auction, with all proceeds going to the eco-friendly charity partner.

The winning bidders will be notified in February and sent their exclusive fashion accessory in a dust bag along with an official card showcasing the bag’s limited-edition production number.
Chiquito continues to support Veganuary, with the charity encouraging people and businesses to move to a plant-based diet as a way of protecting the environment, preventing animal suffering, and improving the health of millions of people.
