Can Vitamin Activators Force the Body Do All the Hard Work for You?

Nowadays, everyone is seeking a shortcut to looking good and staying healthy. William Foley investigates whether there is a simple alternative to purchasing off the shelf supplements and lotions and instead make your body do all the hard work for you. In this article, he looks into the benefits of vitamin activators.

Throughout the global pandemic, there’s been a surge in people wanting to maintain their looks and keep their immune system as healthy as possible.

People have been changing their diets, increasing their exercise regime and paying money for all manner of vitamin supplements that quite frequently, don’t offer all of the promised benefits.

After spending their money with little to show for it, the majority of people will automatically switch to their default setting of “What’s the point, it’s all clever marketing, nothing works.”

But what if they were trying the wrong products and were yet to discover the one’s that do actually work?

I have always been interested in health and nutrition and have what I consider to be a reasonable understanding of the functions of micronutrients.

During one conversation I had a couple of years ago, vitamin activators along with a basic explanation of how they work was brought to my attention. I hadn’t had any experience with these types of products but those two words, ‘Vitamin Activators’ lead me to believe that it’d be the body doing the work, and this, as far as I’m concerned, is always the best way forward.

I did some online research and the two products that intrigued me the most were the Protandim Nrf2 Synergizer and Nuley’s NRF-2 Optimizer. After researching both products extensively, I opted to try the Protandim Nrf2 Synergizer.

Scientific research can only tell you so much, the best prrof something works is by trying it

Like many other health supplements, this product referred to clinical data and studies, including peer-reviewed documents in national libraries of medicine.

It’s always a positive when professionals talk in glowing terms about the science behind a product, but, for me, the only way you’ll know if something works is by trying it. So I did, and the good news is I found it worked and has, to this day, become part of my essential daily ritual.

What are antioxidants?
Some reading this will know that we age because of the oxidative stress on our cells. Scientists have known for years that antioxidants are the key to reversing the ageing process. To get what our body needs, the supplement industry tries very hard to convince us to take expensive antioxidant supplements or superfruit juices as this is the only solution.

I don’t believe they are entirely correct in this assumption. My reasoning behind this is while antioxidants help neutralise the free radicals that lead to oxidative stress, just taking more antioxidants can only neutralise one free-radical at a time. That’s like trying to bail out a sinking ship with a bucket!

Obviously, you can take more antioxidants. But why not produce them naturally instead? One way of doing this is by taking vitamin activators which are specifically designed to keep you healthy and strong from the inside out.

In my professional work capacity, I constantly talk to my patients about anti-ageing and what can be done to reduce its signs through the use of topical treatments or medical-grade devices. Having an internal approach is completely different and is more than likely to be far more effective.

Everyone over the age of five in the country knows that having a good diet is vital for our health and wellbeing, but what if we could enhance this by taking a vitamin activator to help our body create its own antioxidants? And I’m not just talking one or two; I’m talking about millions more to help fight against free radical damage and oxidative stress.

Topical treatments are fantastic for skin health, and these play a crucial part in reducing the signs of ageing. And we know that when we apply antioxidants onto our skin, it does have a profound effect.

A good example of this is L ascorbic acid, AKA vitamin C on the skin. It reduces pigmentation, increases collagen and makes the skin brighter and appears more youthful.

What are free radical damage and oxidative stress?
Free radicals are unstable atoms that can damage cells; this causes illness and also ageing. Free radicals can cause damage to parts of cells such as proteins, DNA and cellular membrane by stealing their electrons through a process called oxidation.

Too much stress is the fast track to visible ageing as can be seen by this businessman shackled to his desk

Free radical theories of ageing and disease may help explain why some people age more slowly than others. For example, with somebody engaged in an extremely stressful job or people leading stressful lives, you can see how that damage is happening internally, but the visible signs on their skin are the biggest giveaway.

Although free radicals are produced naturally in the body, lifestyle factors can accelerate their production. These include exposure to toxic chemicals, such as pesticides and air pollution, smoking, excessive alcohol consumption and fried foods.

Surprisingly, too much exercise can also cause free radical damage to the body, so keeping to a more moderate level of exercise will be more beneficial in the long run.

What can be done to help?
My advice is to really take notice of your body and mind. Choose a balanced diet and moderate your exercise. I’d also advise taking part in more mindful activities such as yoga or meditation, these can significantly reduce one’s stress levels. But, in my opinion, the simplest and most effective way to put your body on the right path is by taking vitamin activators like the NRF2 Synergizer above.
