The Langdale Estate, The Langdale Valley
The Langdale Estate sits in the heart of the Langdale Valley between the villages of Elterwater and Chapel Stile surrounded by some of the finest scenery in the area. It is home to Langdale Hotel and Brimstone Hotel & Spa and has two unique dining experiences on site.
The first is Wainwrights’ Inn, a traditional Lakeland pub with slate floors and roaring fires, popular with locals and walkers alike. An ever-changing selection of fine local (and not so local) ales, compliment a traditional and comforting menu that will ensure guests well and truly ‘fill their boots’ with good quality, warming food.
Next door is The Langdale Estate Smokehouse where Head Smoker, Scott and his team hot and cold smoke a range of local meat, fish and cheese, creating a unique set of ingredients, special to The Langdale Estate. These ingredients are incorporated into many dishes at Wainwrights’ Inn and are also used in the estate’s other eatery, Stove.
Stove Bar and Restaurant offers something for everyone merging a great indoor space with the stunning outside fells. Stove serves contemporary British food using ingredients sourced in Cumbria in a relaxed setting. The Wine Room is a quiet oasis, the Mezzanine is a calming space with views of the hills and the open kitchen a theatre.
