EICMA, the world’s premier event for motorcycles and scooters celebrated its centenary in Milan, Italy and Luxurious Magazine were in attendance represented by our award-winning photographer, Simone Zeffiro.
For this year, the 72nd exposition, 1053 brands attended from 34 countries, 23% of them were new exhibitors all battling for prime locations within 280,000 square metres of spaces both inside and outside.
The exhibition areas were divided into various large sections including MotoLive with its huge 80,000 square metre area hosting a variety of spectacular events. The Green Planet Area, dedicated to the “electric world”, EICMA Custom, an area catering mainly for customisation fans and the Temporary Bikers Shop, showcasing both first and second hand products and equipment.
Once again this years EICMA was a perfect showcase not only for the most important motorcycle brands such as Ducati, Honda, Yamaha, Harley Davidson, Kawasaki, etc., who presented their yearly news and technological advancements, but also for the niche motorcycle brands. One of the best received of the niche brands was Brough Superior, a British manufacturer once known as the Rolls-Royce of Motorcycles who presented an SS100 on its 90th anniversary.
One of the main aspects that continues to attract visitors to EICMA (together with the superb motorcycles on show) is the large number of good-looking women (and men) brought in by the brands to promote and showcase the bikes and accessories. The sight of an amazing motorcycle coupled with a beautiful person sells a lifestyle that is very difficult to resist! Since motorcycles and woman are two of the most attractive things for men, it becomes very competitive between the manufacturers to literally “grab” the most beautiful girls available.
We’ve therefore selected a wide range of images, in addition to the official galleries available on our social media pages, to showcase our EICMA’s highlights, paying particular attention to the “magical blends” the motorcycle brands were able to create.
