Alpine wellness hotel Forsthofalm launches its MOUNTAIN LIFE yoga programme and fitness sessions for 2020.

The programme is available free of charge to all guests who book into the hotel. Three yoga classes take place every day alongside several fitness activities, including mountain hiking and Nordic walking.

Forsthfalm’s ethos centres on the enjoyment and celebration of wellness in nature, 365 days a year. The hotel is situated in a secluded location at 1050 metres in the middle of an alpine pasture.

Forsthofalm has its own water, energy and sustainable waste concept and is held together with 210,000 wooden dowels; and is one of the most sustainable, ecological hotels in Austria.

Built from moonwood, the rooms and suites are free of glue and metal and offer a supremely high quality of sleep due to the high percentage of stone pine. Stone pine ensures a long and intensive deep sleep phase, and guests will awake feeling refreshed and energised.

Where Forsthofalm really comes into its own is with its communal experiences – with live music, colourful cocktails and positive energy.

Forsthofalm’s lifestyle concept fosters a spirit of communication and openness amongst its guests, promising a friendly environment to physically and emotionally connect and relax with others within a shared holiday experience.

By day, classes are led by the hotel’s professional yoga instructors and fitness experts, who will guide guests through a dedicated series of yoga practices, meditation exercises relaxation techniques.

As the warmer weather arrives, guests can move outside to breathe in the clean, fresh air of the Austrian Alps and take part in rooftop yoga sessions, yoga walking, and various outdoor fitness sessions. It’s a fully packed schedule from morning to night.

18.00 – Deep relaxation yoga

After a day of movement, it’s time to unwind. The Sky Spa at Forsthofalm is the perfect place to come down, with an ever-changing array of treatments specifically tailored to tap into guests’ feelings, emotions and moods; choose from “Brain”, “Muscle”, “Soul”, “Energy”, or “Love. All products are 100% natural, using local herbs collected by the hotel’s resident herbalist.

After a treatment, a dip in the outdoor heated rooftop pool with breathtaking panoramic views is the perfect opportunity to relax and contemplate another day of energy-boosting adventure in the Austrian Alps.

As evening descends, guests are invited to enjoy the delights of the 7th-story roof terrace to enjoy a glass of sparkling wine or a mountain herb cocktail, watching the sunset over the natural mountain surroundings with a view of Salzburg and Tyrol.

All dining from the Rainbow Kitchen at Forstholfalm is organic and vegan-friendly. Food products are sourced locally and paired with local, regional herbs for beautifully fresh, colourful and inspiring cuisine that appeals to all palettes. The house restaurant KUKKA offers everything from delicious steaks and fish dishes to vegan and vegetarian specialities.
