All Goodman Restaurants to Re-open by the End of September

Positive news for the hospitality industry; the Goodman Restaurant Group has announced that all six of their restaurants will be open by the end of September.

The Goodman group has already begun the process of re-opening restaurants. The Goodman City re-opened on 8th September and it will be followed by Zelman Meats Soho on 23rd September and Goodman Canary Wharf on 29th September. Goodman Maddox Street, Zelman Meats Harvey Nichols and Beast re-opened in July.

In more good news, the group has seen week on week growth in covers since 4th July and this further amplified by the UK government’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme in August.

Following the success of this, the restaurants have decided to fund an extension of the scheme into September, at Goodman Steak Frites (250g NY Sirloin served with hand-cut chips and peppercorn sauce) with a glass of wine for £20 and a Wagyu Beef Burger at Zelman Meats Harvey Nichols with chips just £10.

Beast Surf and Turf

Beast, London’s ultimate surf and turf restaurant has launched an all-new set menu curated by Executive Chef, Phil Campbell, the Beast Experience.

This is priced at £100 per person and is the first time Beast has offered a set menu of any kind. Hand dived Orkney scallops or Japanese Wagyu Tataki to start are followed by their renowned Norwegian King Crab and the Lake District’s Langdale Valley T-Bone. With a choice of Salted Caramel and Chocolate Tart or Yorkshire Blue to finish.

Managing Director, Alex D’Aguiar said, “We’re thrilled that we are re-opening the rest of our estate following lockdown and are pleased to be trading better than expected. The next few months will continue to be a challenge.

Whilst carefully complying with social distancing measures put in place to protect our guests and staff, we’ll be piloting our guest profile not to be so reliant on tourism and business travellers in central London. And most importantly, continue to give our loyal guests the confidence to come back and dine with us.”
