Ser Wong Fun, one of Hong Kong’s oldest and most iconic restaurants, will bring its legendary flavours to Holt’s Café for a special pop-up event on February 26th and 27th of February 2025.
The Ser Wong Fun dinner evenings continue Holt’s Café’s recent success in bringing the best of Hong Kong and overseas local cuisine experiences to Rosewood, Hong Kong. Previous collaborations have included the now-reopened Hop Sze Restaurant, Keng Eng Kee Seafood from Singapore, KamCenter Roast Goose, and more. The special collaborative event will also serve as a showcase of gastronomic excellence in celebration of the Year of the Snake.
Holt’s Café at Rosewood Hong Kong, known for its upscale and contemporary interpretation of Hong Kong’s traditional cha chaan teng culture, will play post to Ser Wong Fun’s soul-warming dishes, with a spotlight on snake-based delicacies believed to offer warmth and nourishment in line with traditional Chinese medicine.
Located in Cochrane Street, Central and under the stewardship of fourth-generation owner Gigi Paulina Ng, Ser Wong Fun has preserved its heritage dating back to 1895 when it first started as a humble street stall in Guangdong Province.
Overcoming challenges, including the impact of crises like the SARS outbreak in 2003, Ng has diligently upheld the authenticity and flavours of Ser Wong Fun, earning the prestigious Michelin Bib Gourmand distinction for nine consecutive years.
