With inspiring, whimsical-decoration, the diverse themes of the Grand Deluxe Lagoon Suites offer designs to suit every taste. In addition to the four distinct parts of the suite which include two living-areas, a bedroom and a lagoon for swimming, this series includes a fully-functional kitchen. The independently-run Hotel Éclat Beijing has already established itself as one of the most exclusive luxury design and art hotels worldwide and the newly unveiled series of Grand Deluxe Lagoon Suites provide even more variety and choice to those looking for an alternative, stylish environment together with the only weather-proof private indoor terraces in the city.
Hotel Éclat Beijing consistently surprises us, the property is a visual work of art both inside and out, housing artworks by Salvador Dali, Andy Warhol and a number of Chinese artists. ‘Darth Vader’ offers a chance to enjoy the geometrical designs of Michael Yeung with highly functional, pieces of furniture as stand-alone art pieces. From his dimensional ‘Mines’ chairs to his circular Vortex bookcase plus other pieces from his Intrepid and Vantage series, Michael Yeung gives this suite a futuristic feel. Playful touches include a large Lego version of the Han Solo spaceship and a Darth Vader statue.
‘Harry Potter’ is simply a fun tribute to the well-known novel and film. With Hogwarts gowns and Dobby statues, this suite is designed to bring out the child in every guest. From magic broomsticks to the aging books of Hogwarts library on the carefully decorated stone design wallpaper, this is the perfect place for the grown-up schoolboy to be transported to another world for a game of chess.
‘Midnight in Paris’ is immediately reminiscent of a world where life was enjoyed in salons. The suite includes late nineteenth century Berger cane and velvet-upholstered chairs. A musically-inspired room with cellos decorating the walls, the ambience leaves you wanting to be serenaded into the night.
‘Hollywood’ offers a tribute to the stars of cinema. With hints of vintage glamour this suite succeeds in balancing Louis XV chests with contemporary Kelly Hoppen soft furnishings and rich colours inside, dusky hued furniture outside, chandeliers and images of Marilyn Monroe to create a pop-art meets 1920’s feel.
