IAAPA Expo Europe’s Premier Leisure Industry Event Returns to London

Thousands of UK and international leisure industry professionals will gather in London later this year for the annual IAAPA Expo Europe, which is returning to the British capital for the first time since 2011.

The IAAPA Expo is the flagship European trade show of The Global Association for the Attractions Industry and will shine the spotlight firmly on the recovering tourism industry in the Jubilee year and putting London at the heart of Europe’s leisure industry in 2022.

The event will be showcasing the latest trends and innovations that shape the fast-moving attractions industry, with new technologies driving ever more immersive and memorable experiences.

The IAAPA Expo Europe is a one-stop shop for industry experts across a range of businesses, from amusement and theme parks, zoos and aquariums, family entertainment centres, historical and cultural tourist attractions, museums and science centres to shopping malls, hotels, and retailers. The event takes place at London’s ExCel, a state-of-the-art venue boasting a 100-acre waterfront campus with seven on-site hotels and over 40 cafes, bars, and restaurants.

So far, more than 470 exhibitors are registered to participate and showcase their latest products and services, including state-of-the-art rides, virtual reality, motion simulators, design and theming, food and beverage, health and safety, point of sale, playground equipment, arcades and coin machines, and pools and water equipment.

Industry professionals discussing the latest leisure innovations

Returning to London for the first time since 2011, and with a jam-packed programme full of the latest technology from across the globe, IAAPA is set to deliver one of the best Expos yet, with guests able to network with colleagues, explore the latest developments in the industry, discover new products and services, and expand their knowledge with the help and support of industry experts. It also includes a four-day education conference with leading industry professionals giving unique insights on sustainability, guest experience, technology, and safety.

“We could not be more excited to bring this year’s show to London,” said Peter van der Schans, Executive Director and Vice President of IAAPA EMEA. “Our European membership benefits from us changing the Expo location every year. Hosting this year’s show in a world class destination such as London offers the global attractions industry an opportunity to showcase their brands and network as we continue to rebound.”
