The group has therefore partnered with carefully-selected artisans and experts across the spheres of food, culture, art and fashion to provide behind-the-scenes personalised experiences for visitors to its properties in Tel Aviv, London and Paris, the first hotels to offer the new service.

London

London’s bespoke Made in Mayfair Insider Experience

London’s bespoke Made in Mayfair Insider Experience has been created by InterContinental London Park Lane alongside London Luxury Quarter ̶ keepers of the prestigious 52 streets of Mayfair, Piccadilly and St. James. In addition to privileged access to the hotel’s glamorous Royal Suite on the 8th floor of the property, the experience explores the centre of ‘Best of British’ craftsmanship, giving guests a behind-the-scenes tour through Mayfair’s rich history of custom goods.

Foster & Son, London’s oldest bespoke shoemaker - Made in Mayfair Insider ExperienceThis could include a visit to Foster & Son, London’s oldest bespoke shoemaker, or a trip to Floris, the sole perfumer to Queen Elizabeth II, where individuals are able to create their very own scent with the help of the boutique’s in-house experts. The recipe can be named, whilst the formula will be stored indefinitely by Floris for future refills. Visitors will also learn about hand-blending techniques from Floris’ masters, who have previously created scents for the likes of Oscar Wilde, Eva Perón, Winston Churchill, Marilyn Monroe and every British monarch since King George IV.

Those in the market for a custom suit can visit Dege & Skinner at No. 10 Savile Row. They are able to discover one of the UK Capital’s most respected bespoke tailoring houses and can also be measured up for their own set of custom-made shirts, which will be cut and made by hand before being dispatched to a dedicated address.

Paris

InterContinental Paris Le Grand

Three years ago, InterContinental Paris Le Grand teamed up with Ladurée, the iconic maker of macaroons, businesses which were both founded in 1862. Since then, the iconic brands have since collaborated every year to create sculptures including an edible Christmas tree and Eiffel Tower.

Ladurée and InterContinental Paris Le Grand the Insider ExperienceAs part of the Insider Experience, guests of the hotel have the opportunity to visit the site of the very first Ladurée boutique on rue Royale where they will be welcomed by manager Olivier Clemençon as well as a pastry chef who is one of few Meilleurs Ouvriers de France (one of five to six individuals elected out of 500 candidates every four years by Ladurée) to witness and participate in the delicate process of making a macaroon.

Guests will equally have the chance to visit InterContinental Paris Le Grand’s newly renovated, breath-taking Opera Ballroom – the French capital’s most spectacular reception room which has hosted the city’s most prestigious events for over 150 years and is now a National Heritage Site.
