This autumn, two celebrated icons of Britain’s great outdoors unite to honour the nation’s extraordinary landscapes, stories, and heritage. Le Chameau, the renowned French bootmaker, and the National Trust, Europe’s largest conservation charity, have joined forces to unveil the exclusive National Trust Vierzon boot — a stunning, handcrafted limited edition inspired by the cherished spaces preserved by the National Trust.

Marking a dual milestone, this exquisite boot commemorates both the 60th anniversary of Le Chameau’s classic Vierzon style and the 130th anniversary of the National Trust.

Crafted in a unique Oak Green shade, this boot is the most sustainable Le Chameau has ever produced, reflecting a shared commitment to the environment. Each pair is meticulously hand-built by Le Chameau’s master bootmakers using their signature Chamolux™ rubber, prized for comfort and durability.

The design features a distinct Le Chameau x National Trust logo and a bespoke Écho lining inspired by the historic Buckland Abbey, a nod to Britain’s natural and cultural heritage.

Sustainability is key: the boot boasts a jersey lining woven from organic cotton and recycled polyester, a removable antibacterial insole made with recycled materials, and adjustable straps fashioned from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles.

“As a conservation charity, we want to encourage everyone to enjoy the outdoors and spaces that we look after,” said Becky Stanford, Head of Brand Licensing Delivery at the National Trust. “By working with heritage brands such as Le Chameau, together we can offer sustainable boots which will not only stand the test of time and enable people to get outdoors whatever the weather, but also help fund our efforts to protect nature for everyone.”

In turn, Aaron Smedley, Chief Digital & Marketing Officer at Le Chameau, expressed the brand’s deep connection with the natural world. “For nearly a century, Le Chameau boots have served those who live and work in nature. This collaboration is about honouring that connection, celebrating Britain’s landscapes, and taking a step together towards safeguarding them for future generations.”

The National Trust Vierzon boot launches this September and will be available exclusively via lechameau.com and select retailers. Both men’s and women’s sizes will be offered, with a stylish matching boot bag included. The National Trust boot is priced at £220, and a boot and accessory bundle is also available, priced at £260.

Notably, a portion of every sale will directly support the National Trust’s vital preservation efforts, helping to protect Britain’s treasured coastlines, gardens, and heritage sites for generations to come.
