Michael Caines invites guests to rediscover his visionary cuisine and the storied Georgian manor’s luxurious charm with a limited-time 10th anniversary celebratory offer. To mark ten years since he purchased the Lympstone Manor estate, his Michelin-starred restaurant will be rolling back lunch prices to what they were in 2017.
To mark ten memorable years since purchasing the estate now known as Lympstone Manor, celebrated Michelin-starred chef Michael Caines MBE is rolling back time — and prices — with a rare limited-time lunch offer. Guests can savour the chef’s refined ‘Terroir Cuisine’ at 2017 opening prices, with three-course menus priced at just £45 and four courses at £55, nearly halving the usual rates and making this a unique opportunity to experience one of Devon’s culinary gems.
Nestled on the serene Exe estuary, Lympstone Manor boasts a breathtaking setting matched only by the finesse of Michael’s cuisine. The menu showcases the finest seasonal ingredients from the South West’s rich larder — a celebration of place and provenance. Highlights include a delicate Guinea fowl terrine with black truffle mayo and candied hazelnuts, Powderham venison glazed with salsify and red wine jus, Lyme Bay hake with smoked yoghurt and aromatic vadouvan spices, and a show-stopping Apple soufflé with refreshing sorbet.
Reflecting on his journey, Michael shares, “When I first walked through the doors of what was then Courtlands, I felt an immediate spark of inspiration and possibility. Over the past decade, this manor has been transformed through a labour of love with extraordinary craftsmen and women into a home for exceptional food, wine, art, and hospitality. Hosting guests here fills me with pride.”
The Historic Estate and Exceptional Facilities
Lympstone Manor, opened in 2017 following a careful two-year restoration of the Grade II-listed Georgian mansion, offers guests 21 individually designed bedrooms and suites, alongside six woodland shepherd huts, ensuring a tranquil retreat into nature.
The estate’s amenities extend to a Michelin-starred fine dining restaurant, a casual Pool House restaurant, an outdoor heated swimming pool, tennis courts, and a working vineyard of 17,500 vines producing award-winning single-vineyard wines.
The manor’s dual accolades — a Michelin star and Two Keys in the Michelin Hotel Awards, plus 5 AA Rosettes — underscore its standing as a beacon of contemporary country house hospitality, drawing admirers from near and far.
