How MOB HOTEL's Cyril Aouizerate is Reinventing Hospitality in France

MOB HOTEL, the innovative hospitality concept founded by Cyril Aouizerate, is reinventing how we travel and stay through four unique destinations across France. More than just hotels, each MOB location serves as a living space, blending affordability (prices start from €76), community spirit, and environmental responsibility into a singular experience rooted in local life and global values.

One Vision, Four Distinct Experiences
Though each hotel has its own personality and local flavour, all share a common ethos: to provide inclusive, sustainable, and soulful hospitality that feels more like a village square than a traditional hotel.

MOB HOTEL defends an ecological and social vision driven by people on the move. We all need to understand the urgency of complying with ecological values and social justice,” says Cyril Aouizerate, Chairman and Founder.

Sustainability at the Core – Recognised with B Corp Certification
At MOB HOTEL, sustainability is not a passing trend; it’s embedded in the foundation of everything the brand does. Cyril gazing up at the skyAcross all four locations, this commitment is reflected through a range of concrete actions: all restaurants are 100% certified organic; single-use plastics have been completely eliminated; energy and water consumption are carefully managed; and local sourcing is prioritised to support regional producers and reduce environmental impact.

Beyond operations, MOB HOTEL also invests in meaningful community partnerships, collaborating with organisations such as Casa 93, Maison du Tibet, and chef Thierry Marx’s “Second Chance” culinary school, which helps people in social reintegration through gastronomy.

These longstanding efforts were recently recognised with B Corp certification, a prestigious designation that affirms MOB HOTEL’s alignment with the highest social and environmental responsibility standards.

“We need to conceive a hotel as a space anchored in its territory, a place open to and benefiting residents,” adds Aouizerate. “Collectively, we’re creating a solid social and sustainable economy that generates jobs. We are – like all human beings – imperfect, but we are working to avoid the destruction of living things.”

The story doesn’t end here. In 2026, MOB HOTEL will expand its vision with the opening of MOB HOTEL Bordeaux Brazza, a new address featuring 122 rooms and 350 rooftop solar panels. This will further advance the brand’s mission to democratise sustainable hospitality in France and beyond.
