Montcalm Mayfair will be unveiling the debut of its ‘Moments in Bloom’ signature experience during London Craft Week (12th-18th May). On 14 May, the hotel will host an exclusive botanical-inspired workshop celebrating the art of handmade craft and design.
From Paper to Petal—A Garden-Inspired Crafting Experience invites guests to a tranquil, hands-on workshop in partnership with Campbell Workshop.
Participants will craft delicate paper flowers inspired by the hotel’s ethereal ceiling mural using hand-cut petals. Through guided techniques in colour blending, texture play, and mark-making, each guest will create a floral piece uniquely their own – complete with sculpted leaves for a finished flourish.
Designed as a serene and meditative escape, the workshop invites guests to slow down and reconnect with the joy of tactile creativity. Set against the elegant backdrop of Montcalm Mayfair, the session draws on the hotel’s refined aesthetic, mirrored in the organic textures and soothing tones of the crafting materials.
To enhance the experience, attendees will also be treated to two botanical-inspired cocktails, adding to the sensory delight of the session. By the end of the workshop, each guest will leave with a bespoke paper flower—a unique keepsake reflecting the calming and inspiring atmosphere of Montcalm Mayfair.
‘Moments in Bloom’ creative sessions will be held regularly at Montcalm Mayfair, giving guests the opportunity to form a deeper connection to nature through floral-inspired art, origami or flower pressing in the serene garden-inspired setting of Bloom, the hotel’s private dining room.
The hotel’s design narrative, the Mark of ‘The Garden’ at Montcalm Mayfair, is rooted in the principles of Georgian garden design, championing individuality, playful wildness, and organic form. It pays homage to Mayfair’s woodland origins and to the pioneering spirit of Constance Spry, whose work redefined floral artistry.
