Joanna’s three course Mother’s Day set lunch:
Renowned Crystal Palace institution Joanna’s will be serving a special three-course set lunch this Mother’s Day, offering a mix of refreshing new Spring dishes and hearty signature favourites for all the family to enjoy. Guests at the family-owned neighbourhood staple (which will celebrate its 40th birthday this April) can choose from starters such as wild garlic soup with crème fraìche or chicken liver parfait with onion confit and brioche, followed by mains including roast sirloin of beef with Yorkshire pudding, duck fat roasties, seasonal vegetable, gravy and horseradish; Veggie Wellington with braised red cabbage, buttery mash and gravy; or the team’s infamous deep-fried fillet of haddock with minted peas, thick-cut chips and tartar.
Joanna’s array of Mother’s Day menu desserts like passionfruit cheesecake with burnt orange, and chocolate fondant with sour cherries and vanilla ice cream are sure to leave sweet tooths feeling satisfied; a pairing of Mayfield Swiss and Blue Monday cheeses with quince, black grapes and sourdough biscuits will also be available for the final course for those who prefer.
