Omega has officially opened its new flagship boutique in Vienna, Austria.

Omega has opened its first flagship store in Austria at Stock-im-Eisen-Platz 3, a prestigious address in the centre of Vienna.

The Vienna boutique, with more than 400 square meters of floor space, offers two spacious levels of sales and presentation areas. The extensive range includes Omega’s Constellation, Seamaster, Speedmaster and De Ville watch lines along with exclusive timepieces that are available only in flagship stores. There is also a permanent display with exhibits from the Omega Museum in Biel, dedicated to Omega’s extraordinary history. The Omega Boutique in Vienna is operated by the Swiss jeweller Bucherer, a leader in the high-end retail watch industry.

Commenting on the Boutique in Vienna, Omega President Stephen Urquhart, said, “We are delighted to be adding this boutique to our global network. The location on Stock-im-Eisen-Platz is very much in keeping with our retail strategy of locating boutiques at the best shopping addresses in the world.”

Bright and elegant interior design
The presentation and marketing spaces in the Omega Boutique in Vienna are bright and spacious. Images of Omega’s brand ambassadors including Nicole Kidman, George Clooney and Cindy Crawford add a touch of glamour. The real stars however, are in numerous showcases and display cases and bear the iconic names Constellation, Speedmaster, Seamaster and De Ville.

The floors of the Omega Boutique in Vienna are made of marble. The walls were designed with a “stucco” technique: colour is applied here in several layers – the gloss appears when the wall is wet polished. Champagne glass decorated with subtle gold Omega logos gives the rooms structure. Serving as a design element, it also conceals some of the cabinets. The counters are crafted from anigre wood and the countertops are covered with ivory-shaded leather.    The bearing surfaces are partly covered with bronze-coloured fabric. Hand-chiselled, silvered glass adds a particularly glamorous effect to the free-standing display cases. Vertical aluminium profiles act as room dividers and perfectly complement the different glass and wood surfaces. The direct and indirect lighting in the Omega Boutique – including that in all the counters and back walls – is provided by LED lamps.

Omega first presented this unique interior design in November 2006 at the opening of the Shinsaibashi Omega Boutique in Osaka, Japan. Since that date the concept has been used in each new Omega Boutique and is being introduced in the brand’s existing stores around the world.
