Pan Pacific London is inviting guests to celebrate with them this Christmas with indulgent Singaporean-inspired festive offerings across their three signature concepts – Straits Kitchen, Ginger Lily and The Orchid Lounge – from Friday 12th of November 2021.
This year, Christmas at the Pan Pacific London will have a somewhat Asian flavour, particularly a Singaporean one, courtesy of a range of festive offerings designed by multi-award-winning Executive Chef Lorraine Sinclair and renowned Executive Pastry Chef Cherish Finden. The two will be working alongside expert sommeliers, mixologists and tea artisans to blend the diverse cuisines of the Singaporean melting pot with the magic of Christmas.
Signature restaurant Straits Kitchen will offer two jubilant set menus for Lunch and Dinner (11th November – 24th December) throughout the Christmas period, with two all-out festive feasts available on Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve.
The sleigh bells will be ringing to welcome guests with their Festive Lunch Menu (12:00 – 14:00), including Chicken Broth, with Chestnut Wonton and Fresh Herbs; and for vegetarians: Grilled Asparagus, with Black Winter Truffle, Baby Rockett, and Vegan Cheese. Mains include Chicken Broth, Beijing Duck Breast with Braised Pak Choi, Orange Candy and Orange Sauce and for vegetarians: Nut Roast, with Mushroom Gravy and Thai Salad. For dessert, a wholesome Panettone Pudding: Vanilla Ice Cream, Christmas Tree Meringue; Straits Kitchen will be spreading Christmas joy with three courses at £68 per person.
Their Festive Dinner Menu (17:30 – 21:30) offers a wholesome array of flavours, including an Amuse-Bouche, Tempura Basket with Dashi Dips, Baby Back Ribs, Lobster Nonya Laksa, and Panettone Pudding. Guests can indulge in a mouthwatering five-course at £88 per person.
The Christmas Day Menu (12:00-16:00), available at £168 per person, will invite guests with a Glass of Deutz Champagne served with a selection of Festive Canapes, followed by a selection of Yuletide courses including Gravadlax, Traditional Carving Station or Nut Roast, and Traditional Christmas Pudding with Brandy Sauce or a choice form the dessert buffet including Santa Chocolate Log, Mont Blanc Tart with Snowflakes or Spicy Clementine with Gingerbread Bauble.
New Year’s Eve (17:30-22:00) will end with the festive season with a colourful bang. For £188 per person with a glass of Deutz Champagne, served with a selection of Festive Canapes and a Chilled Oyster Plate to begin celebrations. Starters include Chilli Crab, Seared Scallops, with Seawood Blinis and Dehydrated Raspberries, and mains including; Grilled Half Lobster, with Butter-Aged Beef Fillet or Te Mana Glazed Lamb Cutlets with a Sweet and Savoury Sauce with Yam Cup. A display of assorted desserts can be expected with a Cheese Platter with Homemade Chutney and pieces of bread or a Selection from Executive Pastry Chef Cherish Finden.
Cocktail Bar Ginger Lily will be providing a premium drinks experience with a seasonal flair, bottling the buzz and excitement of Singaporean bar culture for London.
Whether you’ve been naughty or nice, Santa has delivered two speciality cocktails to Ginger Lily: a Winter warming Old Spot made with Gingerbread, Ginger, Lime Juice, Lacto-fermented Oranges, and Gin; and Tanglin’s Mall, a unique blend of Coffee, Havana 7 Rum, Cointreau and Cinnamon, and Muscovado Sugar. Both of these warming beverages are sure to keep Jack Frost from spoiling your festive fun!
The bar also boasts an extensive Champagne list from over 200 houses and the largest list of by-the-glass bubbles in the City of London, as well as a specialist rum menu, making it the perfect place for a Christmas tipple!
The Orchid Lounge
The Orchid Lounge will be a uniquely sumptuous and serene affair this holiday season. Both the Singaporean-inspired Kopi Tiam Afternoon Tea and the quintessentially British Traditional Afternoon Tea will be infused with good tidings for the Holiday season by Executive Chef Lorraine Sinclair and Executive Pastry Chef Cherish Finden.
From the 11th of November 2021 to the 10th of January 2022, the Festive Kopi Tiam & Traditional Afternoon Teas are available from £72 per person. A festive selection of hand-made patisserie, combining traditional favourites of the season with the creative influence of Asian ingredients and Cherish’s signature flare, will enhance a truly innovative offering this Christmas.
Guests can expect The Night Before Christmas: Lemon Shortbread and Passion Fruit Caramel; Christmas Tree: Pistachio Mousse, Financier & Sour Cherry Compote; Christmas Bauble: Moist Chocolate Sponge, Guanacoa 67% Dark Chocolate & Dulcey Crémaux, and A Gift from Santa: Spicy Clementine Mousse & Citrus Peel Victoria Sponge.
For those with an eye for the savoury this season, a selection of Asian Savouries are available, including Curry Puff with Potato and Carrot Filling; Mushroom Bao, with Button and Chestnut Mushrooms and Char Siu Sou – BBQ Pork Pastry. Turkey Sausage Roll and Cherries in Puff Pastry is available as well as Cherish’ gifts for Santa this year will see Traditional Mince Crumble Tart with Gingerbread Hot Chocolate this year.
