Princess Yacht’s revolutionary innovative R35 sports yacht manages all three – heralding a new era for the company and providing a truly innovative product for the discerning and sophisticated global yacht market.

The R35 is the first Princess R Class performance sports yacht. Designed and hand-built in Plymouth, England, the R35 combines revolutionary performance capabilities, stunning design, superb quality, and race-bred technology to deliver a unique on-water experience at all speeds. Designed in partnership with world-famous Ben Ainslie Racing Technologies (BAR Technologies) and Pininfarina, the R35 is a powerful expression of intent from a company hitting a rich vein of form: Princess Yachts, renowned for British craftsmanship and engineering pedigree, is experiencing record financial results and order books as the R35 is brought to market.

Now is the ideal time to reveal its most technologically advanced and significant sports yacht ever.

The R35 is the first Princess R Class performance sports yacht, with an impressive speed range of 45 – 50 knots, making for a truly exhilarating experience on the water. Designed and hand-built by Princess Yachts International in Plymouth, England, she combines revolutionary performance with stunning design and quality, encompassing the recognisable Princess brand with a new breed of yacht.

The R35 delivers a unique on-water experience at all times, with power and handling at the forefront of the design.

Designed in partnership with the world-famous BAR Technologies and Pininfarina, the all-new R35 brings a craft unique to Princess and to the current yachting market. Combining the very latest in advanced technology and naval architecture, this game-changing yacht with its unique Princess Active Foil System (AFS) delivers the fastest and most efficient Princess boating experience to date.

Her powerful V8 petrol engines accelerate to an adrenaline-filled 50 knots, and when combined with her full carbon fibre constructed hull make for a smooth and efficient ride. Whether you’re slicing through the seas at top speed or cruising at a gentle 20 knots, you’ll find consistency in her stability, comfort and performance.

Unusually for a sports yacht, the R35 has a wraparound Esthec walkway, providing easy and safe access between the spacious cockpit and the bow. In the cockpit, a large U-shaped sofa provides generous entertaining space to relax and socialise with a removable table for dining.

A large sun pad aft of the cockpit allows guests to soak up the rays and socialise with the group on board, while beautifully upholstered sliding helm seats enable you and your guests to stay close to the action.

As for technology, the R35’s Twin 17? Volvo Garmin touchscreens display all engine and onboard data through a bespoke suite of interface pages designed exclusively for Princess.

The user-friendly system allows owners to connect with the vessel, monitor engine data, manage onboard environments and give control and visual feedback of the AFS with electric switching.

Below deck, the spacious cabin has plenty of natural daylight provided by wraparound windows, while a wet room with a head and galley ensures comfort at sea. The dinette seating with a table that converts into a double berth for overnight adventures provides flexible living space.

Attention to detail is a hallmark of Princess Yachts, from the forward-facing camera on the bow providing a live feed, to the Naim innovative audio system throughout.

A choice of interior colour palettes and the finest materials create a bespoke and luxurious space to relax in, away from the elements and secluded.

“This was a very exciting project for the Princess Design Studio where our aim was to create a boat that is innovative, exciting and forward-thinking in terms of finishes and styling whilst retaining the integrity of a Princess in terms of practical use, well-considered execution and absolute attention to detail”Sarah Verey, Director of Creative Design.

“The R35 is a rare mix of extreme elegance and technology. Often, design is a triumph of beauty over function or function over beauty. Princess has been able to develop a technologically game-changing yacht that is also stunningly beautiful. It is in every way a new experience, yet also instantly recognisable as a Princess,” says Antony Sheriff, Executive Chairman of Princess Yachts.
