Renaud Tixier Expands into Asia with Strategic Retail Partnerships

Renaud Tixier, an independent haute horlogerie brand founded by master watchmaker Dominique Renaud and known for bridging innovation and traditional craftsmanship, has announced the expansion of its retail presence into Asia, which includes new partnerships in Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.

The expansion will see select Asian retailers become the first to receive the final version of the ‘Monday’ watch—the brand’s inaugural model. Monday (shown below) is the first in a series of seven timepieces by Renaud Tixier, each reimagining a pillar of classical watchmaking through a contemporary lens.

In Japan, the brand has established a dedicated presence to better serve the local market through Villa Foch Ginza, a prestigious members’ club in Tokyo where watch connoisseurs can directly contact the brand. This new destination builds on pop-up events previously held at Wako Ginza and Eye Eye Isuzu, both well-established references in Japanese watch connoisseurship.

In Taiwan, the brand has joined forces with Maison Swiss Prestige, a key player in the region’s luxury watch retail landscape, to introduce its watches to an increasingly sophisticated clientele.

In Hong Kong, Renaud Tixier timepieces are available exclusively at The Lavish Attic, a collector-focused boutique known for curating horological excellence.

The Lavish Attic offers direct access to Renaud Tixier’s first creation, the Monday, and an intimate retail experience for collectors in one of Asia’s most dynamic horological hubs.

“I was lucky to be involved with the Renaud Tixier project early on, and when I first saw the Monday, I knew it would resonate with our collectors,” said Piano Chow, founder of The Lavish Attic. “Their approach to innovation is thoughtful, their quality and finishing are unmatched, and their ethos aligns perfectly with what our boutique stands for — exceptional creations with lasting appeal.”

The Monday Watch mechanism

The “Monday” Watch
The Monday is a three-hand watch that addresses for the first time the winding inefficiencies of a movement powered by a micro-rotor for the first time.

By adding the inertia wheel at the heart of the self-winding mechanism—a patented invention from Dominique Renaud—the watch captures energy that would otherwise be lost. This innovative movement has 274 components.

It is executed with a level of finishing on par with the best, including no fewer than 187 inner bevelled angles, thanks to Julien Tixier’s expertise in traditional crafts.

The watch’s neoclassical design perfectly complements the tastes of discerning individuals who appreciate understatement and substance. The prototype version was unveiled in 2024 and has since undergone a demanding and rigorous manufacturing process.

Each timepiece delivers function and flair, making it a standout addition to the curated selection for which the brand partners are renowned.

Renaud Tixier’s expansion in Asia follows a strategic roadmap of thoughtful, high-quality growth supported by meaningful retail relationships. With an eye toward long-term value and excellence in service, Renaud Tixier continues to build a global community of collectors united by a shared appreciation for horological excellence.
