The Ritz-Carlton, Abama Unveils Semi-private ‘Villa Club’ Concept

The Ritz-Carlton, Abama Unveils Semi-private 'Villa Club' Concept

From July 24th, Tenerife’s Ritz-Carlton, Abama is welcoming back guests, and they’ve introduced a host of additions and improvements including a semi-private ‘villa club’ concept to whet prospective guests appetites.

Across the world, the hospitality sector is reopening to what feels like a brand new world. It’s no secret the industry was hit hard this year, so new options and some extra effort will be necessary to entice guests. The Ritz-Carlton, Abama understand this and as such have introduced a wide range of outdoor activities, a casual beach restaurant and of course, the semi-private ‘villa club’ concept.

How the ‘villa club’ concept works
The first thing to note is you can check-in contactlessly. Once checked-in you’ll be assigned a garden room, sea room or suite which are within a standalone, two-storey terracotta-hued building. Each building has its own pool which is only available for that particular villa’s residents.

Residents will be able to enjoy complimentary drinks, including smoothies and juices and canapés while relaxing at the poolside.

Tagor Adult-only Villas
If you crave even more peace and quiet and don’t want to be bothered by those ‘boisterous teens and darn, pesky kids’, adult-only villas are also available. These villas benefit from a private outdoor gym and a dedicated chip & putt area.

Each villa reservation includes la carte breakfast at the clifftop El Mirador Restaurant, along with El Mirador Club Lounge access with complimentary aperitifs daily at sunset. Guests all also be given two complimentary passes for the spa, and throughout their stay will be well looked after by the hotel’s team of dedicated ambassadors.

In-room dining
As mentioned earlier in this article, adapting one’s offering is key. This year, guests at The Ritz-Carlton, Abama will be able to enjoy dishes from their favourite restaurants at the resort within the comfort of their own suites. These in-room dining options will be available 24/7.

The STAY app
The resort has also introduced a new web-based app called STAY. The app offers an interactive map which is handy when you consider the estate extends to 400-odd acres. It also offers the facility to make reservations at the spa and the restaurants along with a raft of other rather smart features.

The activities on offer
With regards to the activities, there’s cycling which has been given the Cycling Friendly® gold certificate of approval. The resort also has canyoning, trekking and running routes. During this summer, it will also be offering diving excursions, catamaran rental and a new summer sailing camp—more than enough to keep the fitness and outdoor-minded occupied.
