Rolls-Royce Motor Cars and Manhattan Motorcars open expanded showroom in Manhattan.

On Tuesday, June 12, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars and Manhattan Motorcars hosted the grand reopening of the expanded Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Manhattan, the only official Rolls-Royce showroom in Manhattan at 270 Eleventh Ave. (at W. 27th St.) New York, NY 10001. The new 5,000 square-foot showroom hosted an evening of VIP customers, Manhattan elite, prominent media and celebrity guests.

The new gallery-like showroom will offer a serene environment away from all of the hustle and bustle of downtown Manhattan for both existing and new clients to explore the nearly endless possibilities in commissioning a Rolls-Royce.

“Manhattan is the financial, cultural and commercial center of the U.S. and one of our most important global regions. We are happy to continue our partnership with Manhattan Motorcars,” said David Archibald, President of Rolls-Royce North America. “Our expanded showroom reflects our growing clientele and dedication to customers’ needs in the Big Apple.”

To highlight the new showroom design, artist, Daniel V. Anderson was in attendance, offering glimpses into his exploration of contemporary expression. Several of DVANDE’s adaptations of surrealism, cubism and futurism were on display during the event.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Manhattan opens a few months prior to the arrival of the latest model, Phantom Series II, which arrives in showrooms this September. Phantom Series II marks the first significant improvements to Phantom since 2003 and features several technological upgrades intended to improve the timeless appeal, performance and efficiency of the car.  While the distinctive Rolls-Royce grill and iconic Spirit of Ecstasy remain intact, the striking new front-end features re-styled bumpers and rectangular LED headlights – the first full LED headlights to be offered as standard on a production car.  A new 8-speed automatic gearbox and rear differential not only enhance the driving experience, but decrease fuel consumption by 10%. Phantom Series II also features upgraded driver assistance technologies, an updated satellite navigation system and new user interfaces, which augment to the effortlessness and ease that the driver experiences.

John Kaufman, General Manager of Manhattan Motorcars said “Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Manhattan is one of the largest Rolls-Royce retailers in the United States and is housed in a New York City building that dates back to the 1850’s. With the Grand Opening of our new state-of-the-art Rolls-Royce showroom, the new area measures approximately 5,000 square feet which is 25% larger than the previous space. For our clients’ service needs Manhattan employs one of the largest staff of Rolls-Royce factory trained technicians in the country.”
