Exploring the Rose Gold Classic Worldtimer By Frederique Constant

Frederique Constant Rose Gold Classic Worldtimer

To my eyes, fine timepieces are like mini pieces of art. I enjoy their beauty, engineering and design as much others enjoy the brushstrokes of a great painter. The strictly limited edition Rose Gold Classic Worldtimer by Frederique Constant is one such piece of art.

The Worldtimer range are practical timepieces as well as in my opinion, esthetically pleasing. The latest edition enhances this further with the addition of 18 Carat rose gold, and before you start to imagine one on your wrist, just 88 pieces will be made so you will need to be quick!

About the Rose Gold Classic Worldtimer
This Worldtimer has an intense blue dial mimicking the ocean, in keeping with the distinguished rose gold case. The continents emerge from the dial, in relief, their anthracite grey outlines carved with the highest precision.

The 6 o’clock position sees the date counter decorated with a sunray guilloché pattern, a traditional finish in quality horology. The hour, minute hands and index hour markers are easy to read in the dark due to the luminescent paint on them.

A feature I truly love is the miniature world map which is around the Worldtimer flange. Twenty four principal cities, twenty-four world time zones intricately placed inside the dial. The twelve daytime hours are red, with the nighttime hours grey.

Intrinsic to any Frederique Constant timepiece is the ease of setting. This is certainly true of the new Rose Gold Worldtimer. Using the crown, hours, minutes, date, and the Worldtimer can quickly be adjusted. It eliminates the need for buttons, allowing the watch to have a sleek 42mm case.

As with all Frederique Constant Manufacture collection timepieces, the FC-718 movement in the new Classic Worldtimer Manufacture is enhanced with a delicate pearling decoration visible through a sapphire crystal case-back that is guaranteed water-resistant to 3 ATM.

The informed observer will admire the blued screws in the movement, and the rose gold-plated hollowed-out oscillating weight adorned with vertical satin-finishing and “Frederique Constant Manufacture” engraving.
