Singita Serengeti House in Tanzania Returns with a Bold New Identity

This month, Singita Serengeti House, the exclusive-use four-bedroom villa perched on Sasakwa Hill in Tanzania’s private 350,000-acre Grumeti Reserve, will reopen with a bold new identity.

Designed to honour the landscape rather than outshine it, the villa’s evolution is marked by sculptural, nature-inspired interiors, a grounded palette of hazelnut, pale oak and bitter chocolate, and a museum-worthy collection of Pan-African art.

Influenced by biomimicry and a reverence for the wild, custom-made pieces reflect the Serengeti itself – from Shongololo-inspired seating to chairs shaped by the curve of a wild dog’s ear.

A new wellness space, housed in a sleek glass pavilion, invites deep rest and reconnection, while outdoor showers mimic the feeling of African rain.

Indoors, the redesigned kitchen becomes a new social heart, paired with an expanded outdoor sala and a signature Singita bar deli – all spaces to gather, unwind and reflect.

A guide locating the wildlife

More than a beautiful place to stay, Singita Serengeti House offers the utmost in private service and experience.

A full, dedicated team—including a private guide, chef, and host—crafts each day to the group’s rhythm, whether that’s a sunrise game drive, a bush breakfast atop Sasakwa Hill, or a visit to an antipoaching observation post where guests can learn how scouts patrol the private concession.

Food on the Harvest Table

With exclusive access to one of Africa’s most abundant reserves and on the migratory path of the Great Migration, the experience is entirely one-of-a-kind. It is designed for multigenerational families and friends who value intimacy and immersion.

At its core, Serengeti House embodies Singita’s 100-year purpose: to preserve Africa’s wilderness and support its neighbouring communities. Every stay plays a meaningful role – supporting conservation efforts, funding community partnerships, and helping to safeguard this extraordinary landscape for generations to come.

HOW: Rates for Singita Serengeti House start from £9,162 per night on a full board basis for up to four guests. For more information, please visit www.singita.com/lodge/singita-serengeti-house.
