Sitting On A Dock Of The Thames: The Sunborn London Yacht Hotel

Sunborn London Yacht massage therapy

Symphony Skin Therapy Rooms
The atmosphere on board was so relaxed, amongst both guests and the team. This helped me to forget the stresses of the past week and immerse myself in the warmth of this gorgeous floating hotel.

The Symphony Skin Therapy Rooms provided a most welcome massage, and there were many other treatments (using Decléor and Essie Couture & Gels) on offer including mani-pedis, body wraps and exfoliation. The signature Symphony treatment sounded especially inviting: 90-minute relaxation heaven with full body massage, an aroma hot foot cleanse and foot massage, followed by a bespoke head massage and renewing facial. Divine!

Sunborn London Afternoon Tea
A festive afternoon tea.

Sunborn London Afternoon Tea
Nothing is more typically British than afternoon tea, so I was excited to try Sunborn’s version of this quintessential tradition in such gorgeous surroundings the following day. Served on a multi-tiered cake stand, I enjoyed warm mince pies, Battenberg cake and even a tiny winter berry trifle.

My friend who joined me opted for a delicious selection of finger sandwiches, including Norfolk turkey with cranberry and stuffing, Wensleydale cheese with tomato chutney, and delightful Wye Valley smoked salmon and cream cheese.

The Christmas special afternoon tea also boasts freshly baked spiced cranberry scones with Cornish clotted cream and seasonal preserve. Delicious! It was also the perfect accompaniment to loose leaf tea (or coffee), and in my case, another flute of Laurent-Perrier Champagne.Luxurious Magazine luxury travel
