High-end mobile phone manufacturer Gresso introduce their newest limited edition luxury smartphone, the Gresso Radical Black Edition
Gresso is one of those brands that you are a fan of or your not, personally we really like their products, the clean lines and the attention to detail during the manufacturing process is exactly what we look for in product aimed at the luxury electronic sector. The Gresso Radical Black Edition continues the high-quality theme and was specifically created in response to the success of its predecessor, the Radical R1 which we featured previously.
This phone, like the Radical R1 is based on the OS Android 4.1.2 operating system, for the construction the Gresso Radical Black’s case is produced from a single, solid, Grade 5 titanium plate, a similar concept to the latest Leica Camera. Due to titanium’s low thermal conductivity, overly aggressive milling may pose a risk of combustion so each case is created by an 8 hour labour intensive machining and milling process utilizing state-of-the-art equipment. The smartphone body is then hand-polished, in a single direction, for over 4 hours until its signature sheen is achieved.
The smartphone body is then dressed in black. The PVD coating is a pure, environmentally friendly, solid coating, that is applied uniformly at extreme temperatures. For the first time in the manufacturing of smartphones, the sensor keys are also executed with titanium and PVD finished. The rich, black, satined, finish provides the Radical Black superior protection against scratches and bestows its distinct and provocative appeal. Finally, the Gresso logo is attached onto the front panel and is available in the consumers choice of high polished titanium, yellow or white 18k gold.
To add to its intrinsic value, The Gresso Radical Black Edition is an exclusive, limited edition item. Only 100 pcs will be made. Each unit is hand-crafted by a single craftsman and will be engraved with its individual model number, i.e., 1/100, 2/100, 3/100 etc.
The Gresso Radical Black will be available for purchase on May 14th, 2014 on the official Gresso website with the base model coming in at $2,500.
