World of Mouth, the fast-growing insider guide to the world’s most interesting restaurants, has launched a premium membership and unveiled some exciting new plans that will be rolled out throughout the year.
Already used by over 160,000 people and powered by more than 750 culinary experts – including leading chefs, restaurateurs, sommeliers, and food writers – World of Mouth offers over 25,000 expert-backed restaurant tips across 6,000 cities.
Some of the world’s most respected names in food and hospitality, including Massimo Bottura, Will Guidara, Rasmus Kofoed, Pia León, Mauro Colagreco, Ana Roš, Phil Rosenthal, Pam Pichaya, and Albert Adrià, are regular contributors to the platform.

“It is not an exaggeration to say that food and culinary travel have become global megatrends,” says co-founder and CEO Saku Tuominen. “People seek authentic, memorable experiences instead of places with the biggest marketing budget. Our mission is to cut through the noise. No ads, no manipulation – just honest recommendations from trusted culinary experts.”
World of Mouth’s strength lies in two things: curation and diversity. It’s not limited to any single category or cuisine—recommendations range from street food and cafés to natural wine bars and fine dining. The only common thread is that each place is chosen because it stands out, not because it pays to be seen.
The goal with the premium version is bold: to offer a 100% hit rate. Wherever in the world you are, whatever you’re looking for, you’ll always find something special.
In addition to thousands of expert recommendations, subscribers will have access to over 100 carefully curated collections, such as “Best Bistros in Paris”, “New Openings in London”, or “Wine Lovers’ Rome” – all updated weekly by the World of Mouth editorial team. Subscribers can also save favourites to personal wishlists, organise them into shareable collections, and book tables directly through the app.

“Our goal is to be every food lover’s restaurant hub – to collect everything restaurant-related in one place, from planning and booking to storing and sharing – easily reachable for the rest of your life,” says co-founder and creative director Kenneth Nars.
“We are creating a global community of people who are passionate about restaurants, while helping exceptional restaurants and chefs get the visibility they deserve. Making trustworthy recommendations extremely easy to access, without any form of manipulation, is at the heart of everything we do,” continues Nars.
To make restaurant discovery even more intuitive, World of Mouth is also introducing Basil, an AI-powered “restaurant whisperer” trained exclusively on the app’s expert content. Launching in beta in 13 cities, Basil helps users find tailored expert recommendations in seconds, with zero risk of misinformation.
The annual membership pricing has been set at a realistic level to ensure that it is accessible to as many people as possible. A flexible monthly option will also be introduced for those planning one-off trips. The annual membership will be priced at €29.90, and the monthly option will be €9.90 (naturally dependent on currency).
A Culinary Concierge Service to Launch Later This Year
World of Mouth will be expanding its offerings with the introduction of World of Mouth Private, a personal dining service for food lovers. It will provide restaurant planning and reservation handling, all delivered with the same integrity and transparency that the platform is known for.
“Most concierge services fall short when it comes to finding and booking unique restaurants, such as small hidden gems,” says Tuominen. “That’s why we’re building something entirely different. Our goal is to combine high-quality curation with real convenience. The interest from partners has been overwhelming – we know we’re addressing a real need.”
World of Mouth is available for free on the App Store and Google Play.
