Alphonse Island is launching two spectacular four-bedroom Beach Villas aimed at families and large parties this November, just in time for winter sun.

Alphonse Island is a remote island resort, part of the Alphonse group of islands, which includes St Francois and Bijoutier, in the Seychelles Archipelago. This ecosystem in the heart of the Indian Ocean is surrounded by miles of pristine shoreline, lagoons, sea flats and protected coral reefs with perfect beaches lining the edges of a lush tropical forest.

Set among palms trees, and moments from the beach, the new Lisa Rorich designed Beach Villas blend traditional Creole style such as thatched roofs using local materials with polished screed floors and chandeliers reflecting a sophisticated fresh island style for the 21st Century.

Interior design duo Andrew Irving and Mario Rodrigues complement Lisa’s architecture by sourcing natural artfully recycled wood furniture and soft lighting. Dark wood walls blend with high whitewashed ceilings and soft furnishings in neutral shades to create a relaxed, tropical idyll.

Both Beach Villas offer spectacular panoramic ocean and garden views. Each is 600 square metres in size with four generously appointed double bedrooms, all with luxurious island-style en-suite bathrooms. Large, light-filled open-plan living and dining areas include a fully equipped kitchen and lead to a sun deck and private plunge pool. A private chef can be arranged upon request to create bespoke menus for in-villa dining. Both villas include their own golf buggy.

Each Beach Villa can sleep up to eight adults and four children. Seven-night packages start from £4,500pp per night full board, (based on four sharing), and also includes Wi-Fi, a generous array of activities and charter flight transfers.

Alphonse offers guests a unique combination of activities, many exclusive to the island, including:

  • Explore the island by bicycle with a packed lunch
  • Kayaking
  • SUP (Stand Up Paddleboarding)
  • Flats Lunch on remote St. François or Bijoutier islands
  • Floodlit Tennis Courts
  • Table tennis and a pool table
  • Snorkelling equipment
  • Giant tortoise viewing
  • Swimming with spinner dolphins (extra cost)
  • PADI five-star diving centre with PADI Courses (extra cost)
  • Fly fishing (extra cost)
  • Guided nature walks (extra cost)

Alphonse Island is known for being the best scuba diving destination in Seychelles with 30 dive sites surrounding the island. It offers a great variety of marine species such as green turtles, eagle rays, nurse sharks and rainbow-hued tropical fish. This area is also an internationally renowned fly fishing destination.

Designed to allow guests to reconnect with nature while respecting it, the Island Conservation Society (ICS) team offers activities such as turtle patrol, beach clean-ups and bird watching to create an island that is intimately connected to the natural environment, which guests are encouraged to join.
